I remember pre-ordering and playing the game. I didn't know it was a part of the budokai series when preordering, I just saw a trailer for the game and wanted to try my hand at it. It was a fun experience, with all the mini games that were a part of the main story line and bonus missions, plus all the new characters added to the player roster made for an expansive gameplay. On another note it's surprising that considering how some of the Ultimates work in the latest entries, ie Xenoverse Series, I don't get why they didn't keep dynamic environments a thing from the budokai, tenkaichi and raging blast series. The fact that some abilities could change the environments so drastically was a part of the spirit of dragon ball gaming.
Seriously. It has the best story mode out of all the other ones. Well, the new Project Z might change this but so far. There wasn't a more detailed story mode than Infinite World.

Yes it is. My favorite character was goku gt. With the super kamehamaha special. The opponent could not reduce the damage and it took over 10'000 damage. Plus goku gt had a head butt move that would instantly break an opponent's defense and put them in a like block stunned state long enough to get your special super off. To me, this was better than budokai three. Trunks with that sword was next favorite character bc of his sword swipe combo. It was just a regular combo, but if you held down the button, he could break through your defense with it.
I pick that game up at The Bargain Bin in GameStop after it's been out for years it's still that was the only DBZ game I played for a long time thanks for a good flashback
What a nostalgic feeling brooo , I loved Goku gt a lot in this game , the story mode was amazing too , it is the fusion between the 3 Budokai , Budokai 1's cinematics, Budokai 2's story mode and Budokai 3's 3d engine , with some improvements in battle system , all characters had Ultimate attacks , they introduce the ultimate attacks with 4barres of ki like makankosanpo , and ultimate masenko , everyone , u should play this game
I put so many hours into Dragon Ball Infinite World. It’s honestly better than Budokai 3. Very very very very underrated. It’s unfortunate that so many people never got to play it.

Dragon ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi 2 was the most amazing game to me ever honestly the story line, and the way you could unlock new characters by just fusing potara earings.
Infinite World was basically Budokai 3 with 2 extra characters: Baby & Janemba , by the time IW came out , Tenkaichi 3 was already released which had the biggest roster so far for a dragonball game...
It's more detailed and awesome then the other older games people still prefer for some reason and still fun to play like come on a super sayian 3 broly was just a 10/10 plus the ultimates and attacks were like fighterz there so amazing to see

@@malikkailani854 RB2 doesnt really have a story. It has an arcade mode, and a challenge mode. Both are perfectly fine modes... but had there also been a proper story mode (ALA rb1) then it woulda been much better. The in-game dialogue, if you do certain things, are pretty cool though.

You’re not missing out on much. The only other DB games that compare to this one are Shin Budokai 2, FighterZ, and Burst Limit. The rest of them are pretty forgettable.
I played the hell out of this game with my friends. It was one of the few actually difficult games story wise if I remember correctly. I think it was balanced really well, and being able to sort of a have a free roaming option was cool too.
That game is amazing, played it so much... I remember my friend bought it used but his memory card wouldnt work with the game so he would come to my house and we would play it, we still play it sometimes today when i go to his house, he is trying to 100% it, that's crazy

Budokai Tenkaichi 3 my all time favorite. Most character selection, most transformations, and most battle stages. Not to mention it having the most movie amped villain roster. Garlic Jr, Turles, Lord Slug, Super Android 13, Metal cooler, super and fat janemba, Hirudegan, Tapion etc

Well, you're wrong because this was my first Dragon Ball game on the PS2. I really love the improved ki-charging mechanic over the older Budokai games where you had to hold X and double-tap the d-pad. I mean, why did it took them so long to figure out the L button should be for charging and not kaioken.
After I saw the thumbnail I thought this was clickbait but, you're right. I've never played Infinite World. The only reason why I didn't play it back then is because I had already sold my PS2 at the time and Burst Limit was already out that same year for PS3. I didn't see the point in buying another PS2 again so soon just for a game that looked too much like Budokai 3. At least that was how I felt about it a decade ago. Looking back now, I see I've missed out on one last DBZ PS2 gem.

VEGETA KING you’re such a dragon ball fanboy, I’ve played and own all the Dbz games for ps2 and love the series but none of these games come close to being the best on the ps2 console. Metal gear solid 2 and 3, half life, god of war 1 and 2, resident evil 4, shadow of the collosus, Ico ect. Are all worlds above any of the dbz ps2 games. Fun with cool visuals but not great games.

Never played? Infinite Worls isnt *that* underrated. In fact, it was released for those that didnt, or couldnt transition to 7th Gen & play Burst Limit.
Not to mention, the game is just a better Budokai 3.
Budokai Tenkaichi 3 my all time favorite. Most character selection, most transformations, and most battle stages. Not to mention it having the most movie amped villain roster. Garlic Jr, Turles, Lord Slug, Super Android 13, Metal cooler, super and fat janemba, Hirudegan, Tapion etc
Just the sound of moving the highlight in menu brings back so many memories! ❤️

I didn’t play Infinite World back in 2008, only the Budokai games as they released. It sucks that the 360 version of the Budokai games don’t have the original music, but Infinite World does. That’s wild.

Well, you're wrong because this was my first Dragon Ball game on the PS2. I really love the improved ki-charging mechanic over the older Budokai games where you had to hold X and double-tap the d-pad. I mean, why did it took them so long to figure out the L button should be for charging and not kaioken.

I had this game. This was a compilation game of all the psp games uprezed with a few mor characters and improved frame rate stability
After I saw the thumbnail I thought this was clickbait but, you're right. I've never played Infinite World. The only reason why I didn't play it back then is because I had already sold my PS2 at the time and Burst Limit was already out that same year for PS3. I didn't see the point in buying another PS2 again so soon just for a game that looked too much like Budokai 3. At least that was how I felt about it a decade ago. Looking back now, I see I've missed out on one last DBZ PS2 gem.
