The fluidity amongst the tenors relaxes me. Smooth playing+beautiful sound+relaxed players+phenomenal instructor= happy viewer. Thank you Grid Series for this and thank you Collin Mcnutt for the cadets drumline.
Yet another great video, guys. Seeing a group of this caliber in rehearsal is pretty awesome. One minor issue: I liked the 2013 video much more than this one. The 2013 video had a lot of Colin teaching which was pretty cool. Especially when he said things to his group that were along the lines of stuff I might say to my own kids. I'm not sure if it was a decision you guys made or something he asked for, but if it's possible I'd definitely love to see more of those moments in the future videos. Again, great work guys! Looking forward to more (and possibly seeing you at the lot in ATL this year)!
TJ Woolfolk We thought the same thing! Surprisingly there were not as many comments said this year. We kept trying to get some great comments into the video but there wasn't much said. Just a big "reps" day. A lot of new talent in the line so it seemed fitting. Thanks so much for the support! We are excited to film this year, and hopefully we will see you in Atlanta!!
Phostings1 We would LOVE to do that! But it would take a bigger crew for sure. It would be cool if we could work something out with Drum Corps International to film much more all over the country, but we have to get that conversation started. Maybe in the future we can film more Corps, and get more footage of the other sections, but it will take time. As we grow, so will our content. Thanks for the support and stay tuned!
Grace Pasic I heard a story about how a long, long time ago, they were rehearsing, and the director was so dis-satisfied with the band that he made them start marching on the right foot to make them think, and I guess it just stuck.
+Coleman Hamilton in 1985 they did a show called Jeremiah, and it had weird time signature changes that made it easier to step off on their right foot, and they have been doing it that way since then.
TheNapkinOfTruth Yeah, trying to get out the WGI videos first. Then onto finishing "A Day With The Madison Scouts 2014". Mark is slaving away at the computer editing! #GrindMode
I dislike the quad writing. Not to say that the actual players aren't bad because they aren't. They're solid as hell, but I can't help thinking that every year since 2011 Colin McNutt or whoever writes the quad parts just copies licks from the previous years and pastes them in the next book.

somericanguy Thank you!! Here is the equipment we used: GoPro Hero3 Black - GoPro2 White - H4N for audio.
Hell yeah. Thanks guys. Plan on filming any other corps this summer?
Josh Howell Thanks!! We would like to, not sure who yet, but we will make an announcement on social media when we decide!
Maybe have a vote? Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to the next one!
TheGridBookSeries You guys should film some Open Class groups as well ;)
I would love for you to film the Crossmen
They're at Ola High School in Georgia, right before the Atlanta regional.
where do they get their shorts
Is there a possible chance you can get more hornline footage in the series. I love what you do, but i'm a horn person, lol. Thanks for the vids.

+adam mccormack lmao
+Casey Robertson casually act like nothing's wrong
adam mccormack Hahaha
Why are they marching right foot first?
That's just the cadets marching style. No idea why they do it though

Somebody get the peanut butter because that opening song is my Jam!!!
Lol, the kid at then end had the bass head
Isn't there a day with the Scouts coming?

I don't understand this but I like it in Cadet Training
Is the knee high socks just a cadet hype thing?
Yeah
For regional days, yes.
Zoiguana Swaggg. I've always liked that you guys wear them.
Is that Colin McNutt smoking the ecig?
Is that an alternate in the beginning on bass 2?
This should be called a day with the battery lol
This is TheGridBookSeries
TheGridBookSeries have done front ensemble work too.
Yaaaaaa!aaaaayyyy
So what happened to the second bass in the lot?
Parker Mathews A head blew during warm-up. You can see the techs run out to go grab a head.
What's that song from the intro?
Around what time did this take place last year?
Wow the tenor tech did not like you very much did he xD
SilverBotical Im glad Im not the only one who thought that haha.
where at
Why do they wear high socks?
"Don't worry about the socks, it's a cadet thing shawty." (I'm only a little sorry)
We do it for the hype
AAAHHHHHHHHH
What's with the knee socks? Sorry, may be a dumb question :p
Rip bass 2
Zardoz spotted
I would upset at someone standing next to me smoking a stogie while I warm up.
Where's the love for the brass and guard? :(
PhionexFantom this is a drumming channel...

Some brass would be cool :-/
