    Anika, well done on your performance. The famous arpeggio section is nicely played and you have a lot of talent. Don't be put off by the self-righteous critics here, this is one of most challenging pieces in classical guitar repertoire and anyone attempting a public performance of this should really be applauded. I never tire of hearing the chaccone which is one of the greatest compositions in music

    We are harsh critics and expect perfection. But Anika has a feeling for this piece that comes through at times and justifies that quiet little smile of hers. She has a secret joy in this music, and well she should.

      Hi folks...!
      May be... may be... perhaps you have the reason... but the finality of Music (for me) is not to be played like a machine can do it... but to transmite the "feeling" of the partiture... I listened some pieces played by "very recognized" players, destroyed by the "machine tempo"... or the abuse of "rubato"... or an excese of "trinos"...
      I liked so much her interpretacion...
      Greetings Folks...!!!

      @@ramongalipolo7256 Ok, but what interprecation? This is not a piece in the romantic style as far as I know. When I listened to this, it did not gain any "whaoo" feeling for me. Think she is just perfect in playing more of Tarrega or perhaps Soor, but Bach no, no.

      @@tribestribes2555 Yes... you may be right... I have played Tarrega, Sor and Bach... and the additional difficult I have found playing Bach is that the Bach' pieces were originally composed not for guitar... It brings (for me) some problems of digitation and interpretation what affect the final "feeling" ...
      I understand your posicion... but from my (subjective of course...) point of view I liked so much her performance...

      Do agree on this. I dont think this was her piece. Think she should play something else, more simplier. I did not enjoyd this. A real unsteady tempo. Bach should be played very steady.

      Considered to be one of the greatest ever compositions. Written while mourning his departed wife. Originally for solo violin. So famous is this piece there are versions on utube for nearly every conceivable instrument. Bach rules.

    • @driss409
      @driss409 Рік тому

      I disagree with your opinion. As long as the intent of the composer is respected It's pretty fair to adapt the dynamics a little.
      A great example in my opinion is Baremboim's interpretation of Bach's well tempered clavier. Listen to his BWV 872: Prelude.
      He is more of a classical-romantic pianist, but I think the result is amazing.
      On the other hand, I dislike Glenn Gould, too much is too much.
