Not much has changed in 24 years, at least not for me. I still feel that excited-anxious feeling watching this as if I were there waiting to go ashore on liberty. It's hard to explain the feeling of getting off "the boat" after a long 6 month deployment. If you've never been there, you won't know what I mean. Thanks shipmates for keeping us safe. I'll give you the sweet and bittersweet; sweet is that not ALL of the trash is still floating on the surface, in a circular fashion. Bittersweet being, the half that's not floating, is in the bellies of scavenging sea life...soon to meet their maker.
