Bemm River Fishing Year 3 Episode 2 Travelling Australia

Bemm River - We stay at an amazing free camp right beside the bridge on Coast Road over the Bemm River, there are no facilities, only 2 biggish areas big enough for larger set ups, probably best to check that you have room to turn around & exit before entering as this could be difficult if it’s already occupied.
The Bemm River Rapids are right beside the campground and are excellent to cool off in, also a deeper swimming area at the bottom of the rapids.
During our stay the Binn Beach & Gunnai Beach free campgrounds along Cape Conran were closed until further notice (not likely to reopen) Pearl Point is currently still open but was jammed packed full.
We launched our boat from the new boat ramp & jetty to try our luck fishing in the Sydenham Inlet, the strong winds certainly made it interesting, but we managed to land a few fish. No luck with catching any prawns, the stars & moon were aligned but only very small prawn left in the lake until the next inlet opening.
For all your fishing bait, gear, tips & free courtesy (must have) map of the lake, Mark is your man at Bemm River Bait & Tackle, also a small convenience stall & fuel station, they even have great holiday cabins to hire.
