Excellent review. Vonnegut is one of my favourite authors. I read Cat's cradle few years back. It is right up there with slaughterhouse five and Mother night as my favourite Vonnegut novels.

The classic flaw. Christianity IS NOT how you live to get to Heaven and happiness. That is the premise of ALL religions, not Christianity. If there is one true religion, it would, by definition,HAVE to be unique from all the others.

I am trying to avoid becoming cynical in my old age; perhaps I should not have read Cat's Cradle, but it was a very good read all the same.
I read Vonnegut I feel cynical and pessimistic but free and optimistic at the same time.
