Man, sometimes I forget what BEAST Brian Johnson was back in the day - his voice was like an atomic powered sandblaster. I also forgot how freaking long Angus's hair was in the mid 80's. Really enjoyed hearing and seeing this one.
Like I heard in an interview with Angus and Mal.. 1985 was a big year for pop music and rock started to get dressed up. I love about every song on this album.
In the past thirty years I have been listening to AC/DC I have never understood why it's said that people rated 'Fly On The Wall' as an average album. It's a different album but boy it's nasty as there music should be. The groove on it is heavy and everything is cooking. My two favourite songs on this album are 'Fly on the Wall' and 'Playing With Girls'. I remember when it came out and how loud and big the drums were! I just wish the bass had been brought up a bit like it sounds on this live version. Playing 'Fly on The Wall' loud in my 2008 GT500 is sometimes the best fuck off to the world and its bullshit I experience!
It's Brian's Powerage, you either absolutely love it or absolutely hate it. I happen to find it as a diamond in the rough, as this was the time he rally had trouble with his voice, but it ROCKS!
I wasn't aware he'd had trouble with his voice at that time.. But yeah, a damn good album. Maybe it could be remixed. I'd love to get hold of the multitrack session and remix it myself!
I'm a huge fan, and this is one of my favorite albums. I'm not sure why people didn't like it either. It just rocks to me, and having a few songs that went in "Maximum Overdrive," I thought that it would have been more popular. The only criticism that I would have is that some parts of this album sound and/or feel like thay were unprofessionally produced. As in, at times, it kind of has a 'recorded in the basement of my buddy's mom's townhouse.' For example, I downloaded the remastered version on itunes, and the vocals are not the same volume level as the band on the first song (this song). It just seems like whoever was running the sound board should have adjusted the mic up a little bit... Best AC/DC line of all time comes off this album: "I was just raising hell I wasn't doing no harm The cops could not appreciate my natural charm."
Motor Sound agreed friend I love this record some absolute gems, first blood and the intro to stand up. Chills up the spine stuff. Best band ever. Dean Australia
holy shit this brings back memories! I saw em twice in 85, Indianapolis and Louisville. Indy was just brutal, so loud everybody was shell shocked when it ended. It was GREAT!
What an opener this song was! This and guns for hire…Bryan’s voice was on top form here and also loved Simon Wright on drums, thought he was a really underrated unappreciated drummer
Indeed, the person who filmed this should win a medal, he covers the band rather nicely, not just focusing on Angus, (and when he does,it's for good measure, perfect coverage of the solo). I have this gig on DVD, BUT....the damn thing got scratched horribly, (before I could rip it to my hard drive). It's beyond use now, I was going to use it for this, but since my copy is junked, I had to rip this video from youtube (which is why it's not that clear).
That was due to Phil's drug usage. And at one of the concerts a lady got killed. And Melcom was about to walk from the band. Managment said to just wait and take time off. So they could find a replacement drummer. And so Melcolm could relax due to the murder of the girl. He arrived at the girl's funeral and paid for the whole funeral. And Managment sued the security company they hired that night.
These jokers don’t know god rock. A girl was killed cause she got trampled. Malcom was heavy into drinking and went to rehad hence why Stevie replaced him for the time being. If you think this was the last good album you don’t know shit about good Rock.
I love a.c. dc. Loud n proud. I have all the albums and dvds. Even 1 of them playing in a bar in new York when they first came to America before they got a record deal and its live. Boy is it sweet
Oh I know they exist, we've got footage from as far back '75, so I am sure the band have some Pro Shot footage from this era. The Rock In Rio gig from '85 is the only one that's been bootlegged (although it's still considered the Flick Of The Switch world tour) Just because the band didn't use screens at the gigs back then doesn't mean nothing was filmed.I've seen a very short (10 to 15 seconds) of Shake Your Foundations, filmed by a news crew, which is for sure a pro shot.
Whoever filmed these videos did a pretty good job. Lots of nice shots of the whole band, rather than just focusing on Angus the entire time. Thanks for the upload, it's really well put together :)
I was there..Its was at Reunion Arena Dallas Tx. Next to the Reunion tower (the "ball" ) that still stands today.. Seen Rush, 3 Texxas Jams and tons of others,, and this was the best concert I ever saw, hands down.
this song would sound so fucking badass right now!! To be honest, those songs they play now are great. really they are. but I got the feeling the songs only the true ac/dc fans love are forgotten... not just the songs that everybody who knows acdc a bit know.
No, the audio was from a different show from the Fly On The Wall Tour, Used the soundboard audio from 1985 Dallas Texas show and the first video is from Brussels Belgium 1986, and the second video is from 1985 show at the Civic Center.
When i first bought this album in 85, i was BLOWN AWAY.AC/DC have had some gr8 albums, but this one is my favorite. From the 1st song to the last it seemed like they cranked it up a notch with heavier sounding songs. From "Fly on the Wall" to "Sink the Pink" i crank that baby ALL the way up!I was trying to find "Danger" live, do you know if they ever played that song live?
+"CC" camarocowboy No - there's an urban myth that Danger was played once and it didn't work, but it's widely thought to be an untrue rumour. Great song, something a bit different, Danger. :-)
+Grigory Zoltan Another badass song from that album is "Send For The Man." That riff sticks OUT and is Angus' basic rule to making a gr8 riff.Where does he come up with those gr8 riffs?
Great album in my opinion but it was a commercial failure for the band. They did do better with Blow Up Your Video but I think Fly on the Wall is very underrated
I love this track - and this recording sounds better than the record, especially Brian's voice. They sound like they recorded him down a well on the album :(
Good job. I'm also making a mix of videos from this tour but the full show, using the civic centre video, brussels', the one from detroit and austin 85 audio. Fly on the wall tour is great.
The reason albums like For those about to rock, Flick of the switch, fly on the wall, and blow up your video aren't as popular is because theyre all overshadowed by Back in Black and the Razors Edge
Man, sometimes I forget what BEAST Brian Johnson was back in the day - his voice was like an atomic powered sandblaster. I also forgot how freaking long Angus's hair was in the mid 80's. Really enjoyed hearing and seeing this one.
🔥🤘🏾🔥
I can’t forget it, he was amazing. 🍻
This was the best opener I ever saw AC/DC do. It fucking ruled live.
I would've loved to see this live!
Riff Raff
such an underrated song, love the riffs and drums.
i'm a huge AC/DC fan and i love this album so much, it's one of my favs, i rly don't get why people don't like it :(
I love it!
I think it’s mainly because the production on the album sounds like ass
Like I heard in an interview with Angus and Mal.. 1985 was a big year for pop music and rock started to get dressed up. I love about every song on this album.
@@jasperhayden21 I agree, the mix could sound ALOT better, but nonetheless, the songs still hit like a truck
This honestly sounds better than studio! THERE'S A FLY ON THE.....WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL!!!
Jacob William Turnbill because there isn’t a shitton Of reverb on the vocals

This album totally underrated!!! Come Hell Or High Water, Send For The Man...
1:07 Malcolm going up to the mic like a boss.
I love this album. Every song kicks ass.
One of their best albums 🤘
Simon Wrights drumming made this LP so good
Brian is ripping it up!! 😎👍
holy shit this brings back memories! I saw em twice in 85, Indianapolis and Louisville. Indy was just brutal, so loud everybody was shell shocked when it ended. It was GREAT!

Damn what a kick in the teeth from 1985
A live song that sounds incredible, this destroys the studio version. Raw, hard, and simply awesome.
Cliff is outstanding here.
Indeed, the person who filmed this should win a medal, he covers the band rather nicely, not just focusing on Angus, (and when he does,it's for good measure, perfect coverage of the solo).

so rare to see bootleg recordings from the crowd this up close from this era. love it!
Damn, this album kicked so much ass!!!
flick of the switch was fuckin great not this crap
this is a shit song ...this was the start of the end of this band i.m.o

Sounds way better than the actual album!
Great sound quality they should release this stuff
I saw this tour in Saginaw, Michigan. What a great memory.
I saw them on this tour tour in Knoxville , Blew us away , the sound. Look at Angus hair, !!!!
I love whole the guitar riff on AC/DC!
I love a.c. dc. Loud n proud. I have all the albums and dvds. Even 1 of them playing in a bar in new York when they first came to America before they got a record deal and its live. Boy is it sweet
the best version of Angus Young of all time \m/
🔥👍🏽🔥 Carlos you nailed it - The hair is Epic !
Crushing song love it

Great job, buddy !!! Thanx for sharing, AC/DC rules, no doubt !
For those about to rock, I salute you ...
this song would sound so fucking badass right now!! To be honest, those songs they play now are great. really they are. but I got the feeling the songs only the true ac/dc fans love are forgotten... not just the songs that everybody who knows acdc a bit know.
I saw AC/DC 4 times on this tour and have the hearing loss to prove it!! 👂 🛑 🎸 🎤

Used the soundboard audio from 1985 Dallas Texas show and the first video is from Brussels Belgium 1986, and the second video is from 1985 show at the Civic Center.
ROCK N ROLL🎸 AC/DC 🎶
ac/dc rock on
Awesome, thank you for upload.
Un de mes album préférée ❤
I read that they got heavier and louder on this album cause of the popularity of thrash metal. Keeping up with the times.

+Grigory Zoltan its no rumor. it was played live on 6th September 1985. but only once. you look it up on Wikipedia
Great album in my opinion but it was a commercial failure for the band. They did do better with Blow Up Your Video but I think Fly on the Wall is very underrated
Sounds amazing
I love this track - and this recording sounds better than the record, especially Brian's voice. They sound like they recorded him down a well on the album :(

this is fucking god-like awesome
Good job. I'm also making a mix of videos from this tour but the full show, using the civic centre video, brussels', the one from detroit and austin 85 audio. Fly on the wall tour is great.
Unfortunately Fly On The Wall is believed to have been pretty underrated album.. But I think otherwise
same i love the fly on the wall album even though Brian Johnson sounds like hes singing through a fan
+Trunk McEight Fly On The Wall is Awesome
Trunk McEight hell no! Their last great album before brian lost his voice.
The reason albums like For those about to rock, Flick of the switch, fly on the wall, and blow up your video aren't as popular is because theyre all overshadowed by Back in Black and the Razors Edge
@Trunk McEight really? blow up your video and rock or bust are complete GARBAGE.
Wow its increible jaja video and sound woooowww
Que grandes por dios!!!
Do you have this whole concert???
Riffaso!!!
Angus "Hair" Young
Their loudest and one of their best albums. Gets too little credit.
I find them online, some I have had mailed to me on CD-R, but most can easily be found with a google search really.
Hell yeah
thanks dude
If a frog was ever last in line, may it succumb to more sublime......
That hair tho
1:29 to 1:59 something going on in the rhythm section.
I'm a Phil Rudd fan but I admit that Simon Wright sounds very good here
did they play danger at the worcester gig
This is savage! Just goes to show how much of a mess they made of the studio album.🤟
Simon Wright on the Drums
do you have brussel entire footage ?
nitro you correct
How do you actually get hold of these soundboard recordings? I'd love to know what other recordings the band has hidden away.
BRIAN FODASTICO.
Destroy the wall. 🪰💥
Songs were great, but the production on FOTW was terrible.
