- After over two years of building our L300 Campervan, we now take you on a complete van tour! Our DIY campervan Big White is a secondhand L300 FB, 2012 model that we had bought already with a high roof and side door.
The original owner had it commissioned for a PWD, complete with wheelchair ramp. We bought it for PHP475,000. Our entire budget is PHP800,000, which we haven't reached yet, because we did most of the labor ourselves.

Go for it! In the Philippines, the vanlife movement is still new but fast growing. There are a few DIY campervans here, iba't ibang style depending on the owner's needs. Meron ding "no build" style where they just use ready-made furniture and fit them sa van (tricky lang makahanap ng perfect fit--vans are always curved along the sides). Some have removable furniture, for those who use their vans for their family business. Nagsimula din lang kami sa panonood ng UA-cam videos until we got the final push to actually do it. Kung magkaka budget ako, gagawa din ako ng isang ganyan, saka gusto ko din yung ready made tulad ng kay Atoy! So dalawa ang dream van lifing or car camping ko.
Kung may mas malaking budget po kami, mag Atoy's din kami. Hehe. Nakakaamaze yung mga build nila.

Hello! Thanks for the sub! We originally planned to do vanlife full time, but some life circumstances have forced us to delay our plans for now. We still plan to do extended travel plans once our conditions have improved.

Awesome! Thank you for watching! Our van was bought secondhand. The original owner had it custom built for his PWD father-in-law who was retiring from abroad, with wheelchair ramp and side door. It was built to his specifications at a fabrication shop in Pampanga, including high roof where most people can stand inside. Unfortunately the old man died of heart attack in the US without being able to go back to the Philippines, so the van was sold. We just added the windbreaker part above the driver's cab. Let us know if you are starting to build your own van--we are always happy to keep touch with members of the vanlife community on the Philippines.
Hello!I'm from Russia, I want to fly to the Philippines, build a camper and travel around the islands on it, can you tell me how safe it will be for me?
Hi! It is reasonably safe, locals are very friendly and communication will not be a problem. But you will have to be vigilant, like make sure your power tools are out of sight when you leave the vehicle. Will you be travelling solo? Will you use the van as a home base or will you be renting somewhere while building?

Yes po. They gave several camping spots. We liked the first one we camped at for P30 per head overnight.
