Aisa kuch nhi hai. If one has the skills, they can and will get employed from anywhere. Off campus placements are a thing.
Reservation in admission is one of the reason. Private firms do not have reservation in recruitment and they are the main employer.

IIT is a brand name, today. Corporate needs business not BRANDED students. In truth, IITians are overrated . When I was in India, i was intimidated speaking to an IIT student because I was an Engineering student from a government college that has a LOWER RANKING , in India. But, while pursuing Masters and Ph.d in USA, I discovered that they are not EINSTEINS ( while interacting directly with them academically). Therefore, graduating from IIT is not a big deal. However, entry to IIT is a challenge.

Beta optimistic rehna acchi baat hai lekin itni bewakoofi mat dikhao. Startups can be formed from anywhere and startups/unicorns don't run the world. Have IITs ever produced a Nobel laureate? Have IITians ever invented new stuff?
Now normally I'm a fiercely nationalistic person but we need to understand that foreign colleges have much more prestige and much better infrastructure than IIT. We need to accept our shortcomings too. If you go to any other country, for them IIT is just like any other college in India. Heck, for them their own ivy league colleges are nothing more than colleges
Sadly their startups are failing too
Remove reservations during admission. Automatically all iitians will get jobs. Admission to premier institutions should be based on only merit and not on caste/ category. Companies are not fools .
