Brilliant!!! This is a great way for us to practice our listening skills, even our speaking skills as well (shadowing for example), learn a ton of vocabulary and expressions, etc, while we listen to a great conversation. I really enjoyed it. 👏🏼👏🏼
Great father. Some people are like history books - you learn a lot from them.Much more than I expected, thought it was going to be just a light conversation about everyday.stuff. both of you are intelligent people. One of the best life conversations. so.useful. Thanks a lot
I felt like I am also a part of this conversation and sitting next to you guys.... I am putting efforts to learn correct and better Spoken English. And I realised it is getting improved day by day. Your efforts are really appreciable because it's making us improve our English listening skills too... A big thanks to you mam❤❤ I am from India
Good job, Laura! Absolutely gripping cause you both were natural as natural can be, I mean without any acting. I was so pleased to meet your dad (my thanks to him for doing this) plus, it was informative as well! Thank you so much🎉
The other day i watched the video half way, and today continued watching the remaining part. It was really lovely experience, felt like we were sitting in your living room next to you and enjoying the chat BTW my DP photo is from 2006, taken in london And recently even I turned 50 So i cud very much relate to all your Dad's likes 😊 You are a wonderful daughter Keep sharing more such videos with ur Dad ❤😊 👍
Hi Laura, thanks so much for this video, I love listening to your father, he’s got a lovely pronounciation, very understandable English! And above all, he’s very nice and witty! My compliments !
Very fun and learning experience to listen to your casual conversations with dad... he speaks very clearly I think. I wish everyone from the UK would speak like you both do! :D
Thanks, Laura, for inviting us to your living room. I'm very imaginative so I managed to find a seat and stay next to both of you :) Wonderful idea! Perfect for language acquisition and learning!
I 100% understand your natural conversation with your dad , does it mean my level of English good and that's why it's just easy to understand this convo? Nevertheless, I love your videos ❤and do always enjoy watching your channel as well..... Thank you so much for everything.....
I think if you can understand this video then yes, you have good comprehension because me and my dad were just talking as naturally would! Keep practicing by listening to people with different accents and different ages, as people’s English speaking can be so different from person to person! ☺️ thanks for your lovely comment!
I really like your videos about different accents you are really majestic in your presentations And this one is really very innovative idea to have a natural homely conversation with your Dad..❤ 👍
Is he not your father? Many a times you said my brother Alex , as if he doesn’t know who he is. Anyways its a good way to learn english by listening to such conversations!! Quite innovative! Subbed!
I'm a new subscriber. I discovered your channel yesterday. Your approach and tips are different. Others channels (2-3) are excellent but I think I have to diversify accent and approach. I'm sensitive of your voice as well. I need English for my job (sales) because my boss is not french 😊
Hey laura I really like your real conversation videos like this and the other one you do on a table where you talk normally(not slowly, clearly) this helps me a lot to understand conversations with my british flat mates please do make this type of videos more i didnt see much this type of video on your channel. Thanks for your good work
It is impressive how little material of this kind there is in youtube or the web. It is essential to be exposed to real, casual conversation to really be acquainted with the target language. So, thanks and congrats
Very nice conversation i can't get all but i am sure if i listen this type of conversation for 1 year i will understand any kind of English accent 🔊 keep making original videos instead of simple and easy way but your dad English accent i like because his sound came pure England 😊
Thanks! I have to say I understood almost everything before you started the real conversation with your dad. After that, I absolutely understood nothing! haha
Good video ! But would it be possible to use a mic close to the camera or put on a mic near you both because I couldn't hear well even I turn my computer at the most volume. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I knew that your perfect musical ear, to hear such subtle changes in the different ways of pronouncing, came from somewhere. I am very happy with myself!! 😄😄😄😄 Will you marry me??... Maybe it's too soon...😝😝😝😝
Laura Please let me know you spoke this is exciting isn’t it? Is it alright to say so? I personally think we should say this is exciting isn’t this? Or it’s exciting isn’t it?
After watching your this video I m very disappointed because that I was getting your conversation only 15% 😢 but I watched your other videos so I was getting 60 to 80% So I have to work hard more.
There might be a few reasons for this! I grew up in Birmingham so I have a few things in my accent that are influenced by the Birmingham dialect. My Dad’s parents are priests so his influences spoke in very clear, slow ways. I am younger so I use more slang and my diction is a little more sloppy!
I'm greatful for your videos about real conversations . Please share more lesson like this.
Just loved this natural conversation videos. Thank you Laura!
This ist a great idea. Helps me a lot to brush up my English. Please more conversation like that. Your father is very sympathic and I like the dogs. 😊
Need more of these listening practice videos. Absolutely loving them ❤

Why is it much easier to understand your dad's accent than yours? You've got RP, haven't u? What about your dad's one?
There might be a few reasons for this! I grew up in Birmingham so I have a few things in my accent that are influenced by the Birmingham dialect. My Dad’s parents are priests so his influences spoke in very clear, slow ways. I am younger so I use more slang and my diction is a little more sloppy!
