THE RETURN: What is Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashanah?

  • There is a day known as the "Day of Trumpets" listed in Numbers 29:1. It is a day that, at first glance seems simple. As we look through the scriptures and traditions of the sages we find something much more complex, beautiful, and frightening.
    Did Paul and Yeshua (Jesus) use language associated with this Feast Day to speak about the end times? Are there other aspects of the day that we may not know about, and how can this day teach us more about THE RETURN?

    ►►Our Vision◄◄
    Founded In Truth exists to build a community that bears the image of God and lives the redeemed life Yeshua gives.
    ⬤⬤⬤The Three Pillars of our Community⬤⬤⬤
    ►►Yeshua◄◄
    We are a community formed by the teachings, life, death, and resurrection of a rabbi from Nazareth named Yeshua (Jesus). It is through His spirit by which we find our common bond. Through the paradox of His death on the cross, we find the way to God’s love, the truth of all He is, and the life that only He can provide - one that is eternal. The gospel of Yeshua is the foundation for our community locally and beyond.
    ►►Family◄◄
    If there is one thing we celebrate at Founded in Truth, it is family. Whether your household is small or large, local or far away, you are invited to take your place here with us. We thrive together to build up an atmosphere that shows forth God’s love in a very real way not just to be a fellowship but also to teach the children in the community what being an image bearer is all about.
    ►►Fellowship◄◄
    We value each other. In the Beginning, God said it was not good for man to be alone. We were meant for fellowship, and we believe when we come together, we celebrate God’s goodness, promises, and grace. We know God has called our lives to intersect, so what better way to fulfill the command of scripture to love one another?

    You reap what you sow in the Fall. That’s why during the Feast of Trumpets, your name is either written in the book of life or it’s not.

    I agree with your main point, but one minor correction: Exodus 23:16 is talking about the barley harvest in the spring, not the fruit harvest in the fall.

    Amen, thank you for giving us the "meat" of the word! Jesus is coming sooooooo soon! Get ready everyone! If you haven't done so already, get real before God, confess any sin or "offense" against anyone that's hidden in your heart and REPENT - it's what God is requiring from all of His believers at this "midnight" hour. Be a "wise virgin" and make sure His Word is dwelling in you "richly". Also, search your heart for any disobedience towards God and DO the last thing He told you to do (it may be a small thing but just DO IT!) He's coming for those who are obedient to His will in their lives (on a daily basis). Ask the Holy Spirit to help you - He reveals ALL truth. God bless you all :)

      This is not meat. It's Babylonian cotton candy. Enjoy it... if you like that sort of thing ...

    The book that was written about the Shemitah had nothing to do with the world ending. NOT ever has Rabbi Cahn EVER said when the world will end. SMH!!!!

    "Rosh Hashanah" and the concept of new year in the fall is of Babylonian origin. Yom Teruah is biblical.

    • @FoundedInTruth
      @FoundedInTruth  6 років тому

      Anne Marie Simon who ever told you that lied to you. There are no primary sources that assert any connection. In fact, Babylon celebrated the new year for 11 days (the akitu) in Nissan- the same as Israel’s religious calendar.

      @@FoundedInTruth Good for you guys. It's hard to find a celebration of Yom Teruah devoid of the babylonian influences. Happy Holy Days to you all.

    "At the end of three years", couldn't that simply mean "three years from now", meaning regardless of what time of the year it actually was?

    • @FoundedInTruth
      @FoundedInTruth  8 років тому +2

      Hey Christy,
      The context of the chapter is in regards to the 2nd tithe being brought to Jerusalem in the Fall. At the end of 3 years (same context), instead of bringing them to Jerusalem, store them up in your own cities to be distributed to the poor and needy.

    There is so much more to Yom Teruah!! It is also a wedding feast!! It’s a foreshadowing of the rapture of the Church, The Bride of Christ! I am so disappointed that was left out...

      Daniela Parlane - we are quite concerned that you did not watch this message and are getting it confused with another.

      Founded In Truth Thanks for the prompt reply. I watched the whole video... I understood the message. According to my studies I have also found a strong correlation between Yom Teruah and the Wedding Feast our Marriage Supper of the Lamb. There are many other idioms that are correlated with this feast; for example, “the day when no one knows the day or the hour”. As you know, this was said because the feast is the only one that begins with a new moon/sliver moon, which was very difficult to spot and required two witnesses to stay up and look for it. In addition, it ties in with when the Father releases The Son to get His Bride at “the day or hour that no man knows”. As you know, that phrase is captured in Matthew 24:36. Not sure if you’ve had a chance to get deeper into the story, but it’s actually quite rich and very exciting!

    • @FoundedInTruth
      @FoundedInTruth  4 роки тому

      Daniela Parlane oh, for sure. We did not include the correlation between the sighting of the new moon and the “no man knows the hour” emphasis too much due to not being able to find an actually historical reference where that was concluded.

      Founded In Truth either way, I apologize for the harsh way I came across. It was very rude of me. I went into it with the expectation that there would be emphasis on some other points but I want to commend you for doing such a great job on the research you presented. There is so much information on every single feast, it would take a lot of time to go over every single detail. God bless you brother and keep shining for Christ:)

      Daniela Parlane for sure, thanks for checking the message out and we also appreciate you bringing the extra insight to the feast!
