  • Join us as we take a deeper look into the Feast day known as "Shavuot" in the Bible. How was the Feast celebrated in the 2nd temple and what connection does it have with believers today?
Did you know Rabbinic texts connect the gift of speaking on tongues with the giving of The Torah at Mt. Sinai?

    ►►Our Vision◄◄
Founded In Truth exists to build a community that bears the image of God and lives the redeemed life Yeshua gives.
⬤⬤⬤The Three Pillars of our Community⬤⬤⬤
    ►►Yeshua◄◄
We are a community formed by the teachings, life, death, and resurrection of a rabbi from Nazareth named Yeshua (Jesus). It is through His spirit by which we find our common bond. Through the paradox of His death on the cross, we find the way to God’s love, the truth of all He is, and the life that only He can provide - one that is eternal. The gospel of Yeshua is the foundation for our community locally and beyond.
    ►►Family◄◄
If there is one thing we celebrate at Founded in Truth, it is family. Whether your household is small or large, local or far away, you are invited to take your place here with us. We thrive together to build up an atmosphere that shows forth God’s love in a very real way not just to be a fellowship but also to teach the children in the community what being an image bearer is all about.
    ►►Fellowship◄◄
We value each other. In the Beginning, God said it was not good for man to be alone. We were meant for fellowship, and we believe when we come together, we celebrate God’s goodness, promises, and grace. We know God has called our lives to intersect, so what better way to fulfill the command of scripture to love one another?

Thank you for saying speaking in tongues is real. when i was young i was a skeptic on speaking in tongues and spent months praying to God to show me if it was real i did alot of studying and prayer. we would have special evangelist come and i would go to them and nothing. then one day at a normal church service during normal praise and worship time it happened.
since joining the movement i habe only heard people speak against it. 119 ministries had a teaching on it and i told them my experience and they just dismissed it as it wasnt God. I had another person in ministry send me a video of hindus speaking in tongues. which discouraged me even more.
I kept the issue to myself as i dont speak in tongues. it only happened that one time. Hearing you say its real lifted a heavy weight off me i didnt know was there. thankyou

The commentary about the voices and thunder is very interesting! Christ's voice is likened to a tumult or "voices," too. So if the parallel between Sinai and Jerusalem's Pentecost contains "voices/tongues/thunder," then the filling of the Spirit that came with the gift of Tongues could be seen as God literally signifying... "Yes, this is My people; I've even given them My Spirit, a part of Me, My heart, My gifts, to show it."

The voice as thunder at that time was for our Lord to show his power over the power of the pagan GODS.. The 'Fallen Watchers' Fear of our Father had to far outweigh fear of the evil of the devil.. This was the begining of teaching an ignorant uneducated peoples born into slavery for generations how to once again become human and humane.. To be like Sons and daughters of Men and to have the capacity to make free choices and act upon the 10 commandments which where the begining of learning beford thd comming of Jesus and his teachings.. But those same commandments in thd end days should be the commandments by which we walk daily without needing to know them.. For such is the nature the character or Spirit of A True Son of Man.. And the character or Spirit if our Father whos very quintessence is Love.
      HALLELUJAH EMMANUELLE
FOR THE GLORY OF OUR FATHER
      HE IS RISEN FOR ALL
      AMEN AMEN & AMEN.

1:36 "it is not expounded more than that." true lev 23 prophetically designated the first shavuot as the first time arrived in the promised land and harvest the wheat they did not plant. so it became a historical event. but on the commemoration of this historical, the prophecy of joel of the outpouring of the holy spirit found partial fulfillment. however, it is this event that was chosen by jesus to fulfill his promise of his continued presence among his disciples through the indwelling of the holy spirit first poured on this day.

5:03 "the morrow after the sabbath starts." it means the morning of the FIRST DAY of the week, not the night before. in worldly time, sunday morning. the levitical priests wave the sheaf around 9am. it is reasonable to believe this was the time jesus ascended to heaven offering himself having been resurrected as the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep (this refers to faithful believers like david, abraham etc). the next batch of firstfruits candidates will be those who were baptized on that shavuot memorial after being convicted by first public teaching of peter.

You need to concentrate on Leviticus 23:16! After the 7 weeks you count another 50 days to Shavuot. That is 14 weeks after the Sabbath following the waving of the sheaves. That allows for 60 day journey from Egypt crossing the Red Sea then arriving at Mount Sinai. Moshe then spending 40 Day up on the Mountain receiving the Law.

It's great he's preaching Jesus Christ however he's missing some other Commandments and that is we're not to judge those of people who follow a tradition or the sabbaths or all the other ordinances that were given that pointed to Christ once Christ came that's over that's why as he mentioned you can't go to the temple it's no longer needed it's no longer there either hey it is a freedom in Christ that doesn't mean that we aren't to be diligent about obeying his words.

6:13 "sometimes reading scriptures can be boring." please do not plant this bad seed into your flock's minds. how can god speaking to you be boring unless your heart is in somewhere else? the god who created the universe by the word of his mouth and continues to sustain it with every breath we take would even deign to listen to our speaking to him (prayers). we are nothing except that jesus now clothes us with his righteousness and by the power of the holy spirit become sealed to become his adopted children in eternity if we remain faithful to the end. being casual with good is not cool. it shows lack of depth of the knowledge of him. our faith can only grow as we grow in the love, knowledge and practice of what we learn.

Since unleavened bread cannot be eaten during the week of
unleavened bread which begins with Passover and since this prohibition of
leavened grain includes barley that has been in contact with moisture .. first
fruits can only be the first Sunday after Passover week and that is the day
when the counting of Shavuot begins. This guarantees that Shavuot always is
near to the full moon which is required for a pilgrimage festival for traveling
by night. So this year it is on 6-11-2017.
