  • This follows my previously-posted video on teaching your dog how to target their front paws on the touch pad.
There will be at least two additional videos on the progression of this rear-awareness training for board and train Lily ❤️
Make sure to start the session off by rewarding them simply for stepping on and off the touch pad a few times.
Next, really read your dog and look for their attempts, and also watch your lure hand placement carefully.
It’s very easy to become frustrated with our dogs because they keep stepping off. If this is the case; look how far or close you are luring them. And also pay attention to how frequently you’re rewarding them.
If they keep trying but getting nothing, they will likely stop making attempts.
Reduce your expectations and reward them for trying.

hello...can u give me a feedback...I rescued a dog Belgian M abandoned in a field..no chip and was xt thin...took her home however she was xtr scare, anxious and was not able to even drink water for a second. Body language showed me that she was abused, pain on the back, tail between legs...took me 6 months to assure her that she is safe...now is more relax, still some instances she is very afraid and thinks she is going to be hit. She now responds to me when i call her, some behavior are much better with training however there is one that i can not seem to help her ...She was starving when i found her so now when i am going to serve food for my other 5 dogs she goes crazy...i tried to send her to the other room with my other dogs that are waiting for the food but she is so anxious and crazy that she can not stay still, goes around in circles, hits anything around her and things end up on the floor (she think she is in big trouble and get xtr scare)...in her crazy behavior she steal food from the other dogs and it is chaotic just to keep the routine of food herarchy...she is the last one to eat so i try the push back with my knee and that works for 4 seconds and then she try to get to the food right away, place her at the last position and do not allow her to move for few more seconds, she is so desperate for the food that is painful to watch her waiting...she keep eye contact with me the whole time until i give to command to release and eat...then she eats all super fast and goes around trying to take the food from the other dogs... how can i calm her down so she can stay calm while i am serving /preparing the food for all the dogs, how do i calm her down so she can enjoy her food and the anxiety goes away. I understand that the dog was starved for a long time and that is why she is so incline to eat fast..by the way now she is not afraid to eat with me around her. This poor animal was abused big time so what can i do to help her out. As a Belgian M she is very intelligent, loving, and happy (now) but only have that issue that run crazy the whole process of food enjoyment. Thank you.
