    Great video Colt, These S-10's are just about the ideal wheelbase at 123" for what you and Matt are building, it'll definitely be a contender in this build off, besides you get to have fun building it which is always a blast and you just add to your list of mad skills you already possess along with Mad Matt 😉 I love all 3 teams of builders and watch all your channels when time allows, my gut just tells me I'm in the cheering section of the Bleepin Jeep team plus i sold a few hundred of these S-10's back in the early 90's when they were KING out of the big 3, and you got a great powertrain in that BlUE BEAST,HMM maybe that could be its nickname, just a thought, look forward to the next video 👍

    I usually use a furniture dolly to move the axle under the truck. When you go to pull it out of the garage put a 2" ratchet from frame under the axle back to the frame. On each corner 1 strap and air down. That's how i get mine in and out. S10 looks awesome

    I'm keeping up with all three builds. Nate, who I love, isn't really doing a build. He is doing a ton of body work and doesnt want the roll cage to interfere with his dash board. Rudy and Hollie (who I love, Sorry Walter) are doing a mid-range build and killing it. Bleepin Jeep is doing a full-on frame-off build. Colt, you are rocking this and doing an awesome job of explaining and teaching as you go. Matt used to do that. What's up with the sunglasses in doors during the video's?

    I just found this build and would have voted for you if I knew about it sooner. I am also a 90’s kid and have dreamed about going on UA for a long time. Your rig seems like the only one that would actually make it on UA. I air hammered my old bushings out instead of torching them. I don’t see the significance of adding a bigger leaf spring bolt because the leaf pack will be stuck once it is bolted to the axle. Lastly, rubbing the back of your hands will not make you hands warmer. You are right that you are rubbing the veins but veins are moving blood out of your hands and taking it back to your heart.

    Pro tip. Masonry bits work well to drill through hardened steel like leaf springs. Just make sure to go slow and use lots of lube so you don't lose the temper of the metal. I run Wagoneer fronts front and rear on my YJ with a XJ main leaf as a mil wrap (use the large eye end) and redrill the centering hole to match the Wagoneer leaf pack. Works great.

    • @TyphoidSnaily
      @TyphoidSnaily Рік тому

      Pro tip for the leaf spring bushings. Use a full drill bit drill into the pushing on the outside then put the drill in reverse while applying sideways pressure and the drill bit should travel sideways round the outside of the bushing until it backs out. Works every time for me. Long thin bits work the best for me but break easy if you put too much sideways pressure.

    Hey Colt, Great video. These are some of my favorite videos. I love build videos as long as the builder explains how and why they are doing what they do. Also you try to point out the tools and items that you use without saying that you have to have the best (expensive) items to do the job. We can't always afford or want to buy truck brands tools to do all of our jobs. Granted sometimes they are the way to go but..... Again thanks and please keep on making videos like this one for us.
