Title is misleading, predke was already losing before blundering the queen.
Magnus looks in hurry when signing paper, really competitive in class.😂
Goddamn. He saw the intermezzo instantly.
Isn't that a discovered check. I thought intermezzos were when you have an advantage but you inconvenience your opponent further before crushing.
@@foreverseethe neither, intermezzo is italian for an intermediate, it's an inbetween move between two moves that prevent the sequence from being a good sequence.
for example you calculate a sequence where you sac your queen on a rook, thinking that if your opponent recapture your queen immediately, you'll then fork his queen and king on a square that was protected by the rook (which is why you sacrifice), but you missed that the opponent did not have to capture your queen immediately, instead the queen can give a check and you no longer have the fork, effectively losing your queen for a rook, instead of winning a full rook
Wts are the blitz results
Magnus is born to win 🏆.
Result: Magnus won

Magnus is my king
White had totally winning position and then he blundered it to losing in one move
7:09 1. Rxf4 ! Qg7 2.Rxh6 ! Qxh6 3.Rh4 Qxh4 4. Qxh4
Now white has queen +2 extra connected passers on kingside against 2 black rooks and black king is still very much opened for attacks, nowhere to hide . It is quite easy win for grandmaster . I think after 3.Rh4 when he realized that queen is lost, Carlsen would have resigned..
whoaa... Queen moves to h3 would be checkmate to carlsen. King h7 has nowhere to go
Qd2 and no mate.
@ 7:50, Rh7+ & mate in 2? or am i missing something?
