Whenever magnus does post game analysis with his opponent I always get the feeling he is saying: I could have kicked your ass ages ago but I kept playing just to make it more competitive.
@@steelsteez6118 he accepted it to be able to qualify if you listened to the commentary, the reason why he didn't take draw instantly was because he knew he was better if he continued and wouldn't lose elo points if he won. He decided to play it safe though and sacrifice a couple of elo points in order to be quarenteed to qualify.
magnus could have won but still he respects his homeboy one of his best friend...so sweet but i know magnus hates it more than anything🤣🤣afterall tari is a brother to him
I made a hardwood magnetic chess board and countersunk strong magnets in the bottom. Then I drilled each piece in the bottom and added steel ball bearings. Magnus would appreciate my board as there is no need to straighten the pieces since they snap to the middle of each square.
Who do i feel his commentary is like a script he prepared after watching the game and then adding audio and board all the predictions are somewhat accurate because he has already watched the game. Would definitely love to know his rating though.
Aryan's mentality is questioned. He wanted to get eliminated respectfully by offering a draw rather than trying to win when he had nothing to lose and everything to win.
Please try to take a look at 16:37 White has no way to be better and he would very likely lose, the only thing that’s questionable is going for Nxg6 instead of Nxd5 but no one can win the final position with White. There is much worse though, Pechac had to beat Fedoseev with black in the tie breaks and h didn’t even try, they drew after the opening
@@KnightToRemember The point I made was to just lose the game after 'going for a win' rather than offer a draw. Anyway after the draw he got eliminated so why not just go for it even though he would have lost the game. There's a difference between accepting a draw and offering a draw and getting eliminated after.
Tari v Carlsen always a delight. Less formulaic gm-farm play, more trying out new things. Its like Carlsen is saving first time tactics for encounters against Tari. Then it is gone. It's quite an honor to Tari too. You want to make sure your opponent will match your wits, otherwise you've yourself wasted a good opportunity.
I love your videos no doubt and I love chess. Can you make your predictions on a seperate board, and let viewers focus on the board of players. Because chess lovers would want to concentrate on the move played, and not predicted
There are multiple matches going in world cup, so to keep record of matches time efficiently, players are said to pen down the moves they make and then authenticate in the end by singing it.

Magnus accepted the draw out of sympathy otherwise we all know he could win this position. Great sportsmanship from Magnus!
Out of sympathy? Not at all he accepted it for safety, after all he cares about rating
@@KnightToRemember Nope if he accepted it out of safety he would have shook hands immediately

The commentator is a great chess player so covering these games live and predicting the moves is not far fetched.

Probably because he just needed a draw to advance to the next level
Magnus drew with his brother .😊
I think your analysis at 4:27 is incorrect? h3, hxg4, qg4 ?
I think it would be more correct to assume Magnus would play h4, a very annoying move to deal with.
