  • This technique looks tricky, but it’s really so easy using all the paper strips we have handy! Here I show you the way to start out - there is a little bit of measuring involved - and then I show you a simple hack that completely eliminates the need to measure. Use it on journal cards and tags, but also belly bands, page edges - wherever your imagination takes you!
    Be sure to check out Julie Torrens’ channel (@julietorrens) - and here is the link to digitals of her gorgeous watercolor artwork on PM Artists Studio: pmartiststudio.com/?s=Julie+t...

    Love this technique. As others said I look forward to what you will show us.
    I started down the card making rabbit hole, which led me to journal making, but what I really like are the dangles, charms and bookmarks.
    This would make a great bookmark.
    Thank you and blessings. 🤗🌹

      Thank you, Lynda! Yes, I started as a card maker myself - so many techniques transfer nicely to junk journaling, and can look completely different because of the unique materials we use in our journals. Thanks again for watching!

    Hello Anne! Your twisted ribbon cards and belly bands are amazing!🥇

      Let's twist again...like we did last summer...! Thanks so much, my friend. And I LOVE your printables. Mostly I love them because they represent original artwork done by YOU, no stock images. That originality just shines through - plus, they are joyful and so beautiful!
      BTW, I realized I called the pink flower a "ZEEN-yah" which is how I grew up saying it in Nebraska. Most other people say "ZIN (rhymes with PIN")-ee-yah." Either way, it's one of my favorite sweet old-fashioned garden flowers. And YOURS are the best!

    I really love this idea, and your hack for it. It reminds me of the hack that I use to create the perfect Harlequin pattern without measuring! It's amazing. Oh, Claire, I can ABSOLUTELY see this hack being perfect for painting harlequin designs - or plaids or anything else with parallel lines! Now you've got me thinking....hmmmmm....have fun creating your twisted ribbon designs! Thanks so much!

    • @clairebarrow4896
      @clairebarrow4896 25 днів тому

      @@annekenlon it's quite fabulous and so easy! Basically you take a piece of paper, or cardboard and place it from the upper left corner down to the lower right corner, covering the entire piece, then draw a line using the paper edge as your guide.You then take the paper and place it up against that line and move it both upwards until you run out of room, and then downward from the original line. Next you take your template paper and place it at the upper right corner and connect it to the lower left corner. Continue with that same process using that first line as you go. As you finish it up, you will see the perfect diamond pattern has been created! Your paper template size determines the size of the diamond. Easy peasy!! I hope that my explanation makes sense. 😊
