Great video Matt. Love Wrightington, I was fishing that exact peg just two weeks ago, had quite a good session, lots of tench and bream. Not too many carp! Hopefully they'll start feeding soon. That chair looks way too comfy! Do me a favour and leave the mankini, it's a sight UA-cam doesn't need😂
We fished this twice last week & going again this Friday all being well, we absolutely smashed it on there I was on same peg as you using bread in margin all day & had tones of nice fish & 70% of them where from the margin on left
Another cracking video its great you change up the way you fish change spots on the lake not sticking to one spot all the time thats the way I fish I also dont care what I catch as long as I dont blank,by the way the chair looks mega comfy, keep up the good work and tight lines.
Great video again matt ,i like your comment on prices of baits and goos and other types of liquids I've tried most bits after watching big matchman use them and had not much luck, but i fish only a small lake on my holiday home park on the east coast not far from Bridlington its not over fished five or more its busy, pellets / sweetcorn / maggots its all i need may be sometimes its ok try other baits or am i just wasting money .
Sometimes the simple natural baits are the best ones Gary I agree ! I think if I had to use 3 baits for the rest of my life it would be corn, maggots and sonubaits washed out pink wafters 😂
hi mat...i have the same chair...ya cant beat the levelite! comfyist chair i have ever had!....i bought it so sometimes i dont have to cart my bedchair on my eel fishing trips....just crash out under the stars with just my bed cover over me....anyway tight lines to you and ya dad ! it looked a nice day to be on the bank....and a few fish .. leave ya footprints take home the memories!....
Nice video, and as for those blokes comments about you fishing for carp? I say ..fish for what you want you've paid for the day, there's far more anglers that get a lot of enjoyment watching your videos, keep them coming coming westy, double thumbs up from me.👍👍
Certainly had a busy day at Wrightington, & a great video, as always. I’m wondering about the ‘false economy?’ of those EBay feeders, with them dropping off & losing them. I always think these tackle companies ‘rip off’ us normal anglers on certain things (the attractant being perfect example @£15!!) - probably so they can sponsor these famous anglers? However, Guru/Preston etc method feeders have never let me down - only time I’ve ever had one come off is when a fish has snagged me up. Regarding the fish in the margins? - I don’t think it’s to do with after spawning, I think it’s more to do with water temperature, time of day & height/density of foliage. I’ve always found late afternoon & onwards best for the margins, as most matches & anglers pack up then & a lot throw unused bait in the margin water? Last point (phew!😉), regarding the additives/flavours, I think it’s more of a ‘confidence’ thing?! Personally, I’ve never really noticed much difference when using them. I think bait presentation/positioning as the most important factor. However, what do I know? Only been fishing 60+yrs🤣🤣 As you say, there’s no such thing as an ‘expert’ angler, & we all keep learning & gaining knowledge every time we’re on the bank. Keep these great videos coming, & tight lines to you & your Dad. 👍🏻🎣
Thank you for taking the time to weight this Ken ! To be honest have lost my fair share of Preston feeders the same way as well I think it’s more to do with getting bad stems that just aren’t quite as tight as the others ! You could be right though. Thank you for your views on when the carp move to the margins, you certainly have some valid reasons though and I agree with them all ! Tight lines to you also 🎣🎣
Looks a fantastic place that pal👌 Gonna go & have a gander soon 👍 Your right in what you say about the manufacturers & their prices of goo etc 🤦 Total rip off 🤬 Nice chair by the way 👌
Hi mate just started flowing you on UA-cam see you come to a few places near to me I was wondering if you have tryed birkacre in yarrow valley in Chorley super place for bream in the little lodge would love to see a video from you on there
I have fished it before and the old man used to fish it regular. Had some really nice tench and bream out. It’s just too busy for me buddy, dog walkers and idiots 😂 maybe I will at some point, I have a Wigan card 👌🏻
Hey dude just to let you know as of next week the korum groundbait and riddle sets should be in stock at most places, I spoke to prestons and they are in the process of filling back orders with places like angling direct and such
Nice one mate it’s a top fishery wrightons i like fishing the top lake there. I’m off to Devine fishery’s in Accrington this this weekend to give that ago . Any advice , I would be grateful if you have fished there .🎣🎣
Do your own thing my friend, I fish a lake that only holds Tench, Crucians, roach and Rudd , oh and perch , have done for last 10 years and I get looks and the odd comment, because I use method on sleeper rod and plastic corn to boot 😂😂 and float fish with the other , it’s my way and it works for me , 😂each to their own . Ps … feeder rod always catches the biggest 😂😂
I’m glad it’s not just me that feels you get a better size of fish fishing the feeder ! Yep I agree that’s a great way of fishing and that’s how I started out ! I had a 10 ft carp rod down the margin with method and boilie then fished float with my dad. Until I realised I was getting more on the margin rod and method feeder than any other way 😂😂
@@WestysAngling I'm a bait maker mate the best thing about spirulina it's great for the carps immune system i bang it in my boilies and a couple of types of Yeats amongst other ingredients.Just great for carp all-round.

Hey dude, I was wondering what hooks you use on the feeder please. I started to make up some korda size 10s and they are just way to big and I didn't know that sizes even the same ones Vary so much
Korum allrounder, awesome hooks. You want hooks with a wife gape and slightly out-turned eye. I have them in every size! Id get some 14s 12s and 10s. Only £2 a pack 👍🏻
I ordered it in the store, I'm from the Czech Republic, and how much do you measure? I'm 168 cm. hopefully it will be comfortable for me to lean against my head

With the Korum anychair adaptor yes 👌🏻
One the best additives I use is yeasts and spirulina in my mixes catch rates go right up great for method or big carping.
That’s really interesting! I will look into that. Why do you think that is ?
A lot of old school fishermen still use Marmite and Bovril as glugs for hookbaits. I've had a lot of success dunking boilies in Marmite with carp👍
Must be the salty strong flavour, yeast will be the same !
