I think is coming, too, at least from Tati. She has been hinting at it, too. I had a feeling that, while what she did was very wrong, she was also manipulated into believing things about James by Jeffree and Shane, taking advantage of her being upset with him by fueling the flames. Everyone is saying Tati is grown and should've known better, but when you're already upset at someone for your own reasons, then have someone in your ear saying more negative things about them, your focus is already on the negative about that person, so you are going to ride that train. For example, if you had just broken up with a cheating ex, and someone was in your ear saying "Oh, apparently they were sleeping with so and so while you were together" you wouldn't stop and think rationally and try and defend them, you would believe that person because you already believe your ex is capable of hurtful things. Honestly, I think Jeffrey is bitter that James didn’t have to claw and fight his way to success. Back when Jeffree was growing up (were either the same age or like a year off), men like him were not as openly loved and accepted the way James has been. I think that defensive, “don’t attack me or you’ll catch these claws” attitude has stuck with him long after he has literally paved the way for others like him to feel comfortable in their own skin. I think that Jeffree somehow believes these young men and boys in makeup owe him or something. I don’t think Jeffree has let go of his learned behavior of always being on the defensive and ready to show his teeth. He’s probably always had to act in very sneaky and manipulative ways to get what he wants. Growing up without an idol to look up to, or easily within reach, and without the internet being available to find likeminded, accepting people had to have made him this way. His formative years are like night and day to what James has experienced and I think Jeffree is somehow blaming James for that. He is bitter. This is NOT an excuse, just a reason why he might feel the way he does by treating James as a competitor. It’s actually crazy how different their lives have been. Jeffree acted as a deviant in all forms of the term, while James is the sweet, loved virgin gay man that has had no issue getting the love and attention that Jeffree had to fight tooth and nail for. I think that deep down Jeffree must feel that James owes him something. If Jeffree didn’t exist a lot of these men wouldn’t have it as easily as they do, and if you’re closer to James age, might not actually understand how different things really were for them. Anyway, I think that’s why Jeffree sees him as competition. “If James has found this level of success so damn easily, just imagine what else he is capable of” kind of mindset. RAHHicecream You misunderstood my point. Let me clarify that I’m in no way discounting the insane amount of effort it took James to be as successful as he is. I would even go as far as to say that he is pretty genius at marketing himself. He had tools like Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, UA-cam, Twitter, cell phones (ones that do more than just make phone calls to the 4 friends that actually had one), text messaging, etc. and he maximized his potential using all of those things. Something many can’t even fathom having work out in their favor at allow. What I am saying is that they grew up in COMPLETELY different times. Men didn’t freely express their love for makeup the way it’s widely accepted now. When I say “claw” I mean Jeffree actually felt he had to fight and act aggressively to earn any respect and get peoples attention. When tools became available to him like MySpace and blogs, Jeffree used those too, but the internet was new. These were all experimental and there was no certain way to make money online or even such thing as an online celebrity. Jeffree was one of the first and he took a lot of heat just being who he was and looking the way he did. James is not aggressive, so I wouldn’t say that he had to “claw” his way to success. No, he just worked hard with the tools at his disposal and I am not discrediting that. There is a very big difference in their experiences and challenges and I think Jeffree might have a hard time coping with that fact. I guess I should also add that this does not in any way excuse Jeffree. I DO NOT support him whatsoever. Shane did not mean that the allegations were to humble James, Shane was referring to what Tati addresses about Jame’s BEHAVIOR. His behavior and ego was why he needed to be humbled. James got to a point that he felt as though he could do literally anything and justify it by saying “I’m a celebrity and I’m loaded so I can do whatever I want and say whatever I want”. The money and fame was getting to his head and James admitted that this was true.

honestly after being a fan of shane’s for like 2 years i’m conflicted. he was always kind of a role model for me and i wanted to be like him when i was older(at this point i wasn’t aware of all of the stuff that he had done) maybe it’s him becoming friends with jeffree star. when he was friends with garret and drew and the whole squad he seemed kind loving and genuinely a good person. i think that js changed him. before he got into the beauty community it’s amazing how different he was. my real wonder is whether he is still a good person. the beauty community is like a bunch of middle schoolers when they first get snapchat. always putting their problems out in the world for everyone to see and ranting about people on their snap stories. js is a awful person and it makes me sad what he did to shane. that’s how i felt initially at least. now that i know about his racist and the things that happened with those children and the jokes he made. i wonder what happened to him that made him so messed up.

Honestly, I think Jeffrey is bitter that James didn’t have to claw and fight his way to success. Back when Jeffree was growing up (were either the same age or like a year off), men like him were not as openly loved and accepted the way James has been. I think that defensive, “don’t attack me or you’ll catch these claws” attitude has stuck with him long after he has literally paved the way for others like him to feel comfortable in their own skin. I think that Jeffree somehow believes these young men and boys in makeup owe him or something. I don’t think Jeffree has let go of his learned behavior of always being on the defensive and ready to show his teeth. He’s probably always had to act in very sneaky and manipulative ways to get what he wants. Growing up without an idol to look up to, or easily within reach, and without the internet being available to find likeminded, accepting people had to have made him this way. His formative years are like night and day to what James has experienced and I think Jeffree is somehow blaming James for that. He is bitter. This is NOT an excuse, just a reason why he might feel the way he does by treating James as a competitor. It’s actually crazy how different their lives have been. Jeffree acted as a deviant in all forms of the term, while James is the sweet, loved virgin gay man that has had no issue getting the love and attention that Jeffree had to fight tooth and nail for. I think that deep down Jeffree must feel that James owes him something. If Jeffree didn’t exist a lot of these men wouldn’t have it as easily as they do, and if you’re closer to James age, might not actually understand how different things really were for them. Anyway, I think that’s why Jeffree sees him as competition. “If James has found this level of success so damn easily, just imagine what else he is capable of” kind of mindset. Shane did not mean that the allegations were to humble James, Shane was referring to what Tati addresses about Jame’s BEHAVIOR. His behavior and ego was why he needed to be humbled. James got to a point that he felt as though he could do literally anything and justify it by saying “I’m a celebrity and I’m loaded so I can do whatever I want and say whatever I want”. The money and fame was getting to his head and James admitted that this was true.
