See, that’s the thing. Shane changed his “image”- not himself. He learned how to play the game and make that money.

I could be wrong, but that’s the vibe I’m getting. He’s been defending very toxic and harmful behavior by saying James needed his “slice of humble pie” as if Jefree, Tati and himself are above James and qualified to humble him, without apologizing for the gross and inappropriate way it was brought about. Whether he truly said things about James or not, he’s choosing to side with Jefree and it makes my stomach turn. He’s always saying how he takes mental health very very serious and is constantly advocating for the mental health community- yet defends the actions that brought someone to contemplate suicide... I don’t buy it. If his heart truly went out for people with mental health issues, he would at the very least reach out to James and make sure he’s okay. Taking someone’s life from bullying is very real and Shane hasn’t bat an eye in his direction and I’m very disappointed.

One of my friends grew up poor and her mom (who was a single mom) tried her best to make my friend’s life as good as possible. I don’t know where you’re from, but I’m from the U.S. and school is expensive asf and you’ll still need a job to support yourself most of the time. Working and going to school at the same time is really hard and a lot of times students have to choose between keeping their job and doing well in school. Moreover, most schools in this country don’t guarantee housing for students after your first year, so she’ll still have to worry about rent, food, internet, electricity, and water bills on top of whatever she ends up paying for school. If she doesn’t want to do that, the other option is to take out loans and end up in huge amounts of debt (the amount of students I know with six figure student loan balances is INSANE). It’s not something you can just decide to do, especially if she’s already independent of her parents.
