Hi Tom,Mike from Cornwall, UK here. What a classy looking pair of jacks. I,m only a hobbyist engineer, but I am definitely going to make these jacks. Thanks for making the drawings available!!! Stay well, Kind regards,
First time watcher, but a veteran youtuber here. Yours is a very well done video, great project, narrative, and camera work. Keep them coming and thanks.
I like them nice looking and great design. When you came out with that bam I thought maybe you were having Emeril flashbacks and we might be about to get some strawberry shortcakes. Keep on keeping on.
Hi Tom, love your jacks:different then the usual design, there's no screw hole on the base!! Love it, a great possibility that i will copy your idea!! 😊 Cheers, Alberto
Nice job Tom looks like I have a new project lined up just so happens I have some material they’ll be perfect thank you that says on the mower deck itself this is the PTO driven tractor is here Mount here and then you’ve got two boys Mose grass
you need to make a taper holder, so there are some types to hold you drill tape drill in the hole it’s called in the right thing in Germany. We called it “rightstock” so you can then fret your tape of with the machine and not need to hold it and screw it by hand in it, and invest right amount of torque and not too fast speed. It is a really nice tool then.
Hey Tom sill watching but wondering if you tried this on the 1340 Taiwan lathe would it try to dance across the shop also what size is the Monarch and how much does it weigh . Thank . JM
What device are you watching it on? Another viewer said he hears the noise when he watches on his phone, but there is no noise when he watches on his computer. Audio is crystal clear when I edit the video on my laptop and there is no noise when I play it back on my desk top computer. I am not sure what the source of the noise is.
@@hilltopmachineworks2131 hello, I tried it on my computer and on my tv and I still hear that chirping noise. I recorded it on my phone and uploaded a short for you to check out. ua-cam.com/users/shortsQIdi9sJ_H70?feature=share
@@silverram323 Thanks for that. Not sure where it is coming from. I have changed the adapter cord that goes from my wireless mic pack into the GoPro hoping that would help. I really like the Rode mic set up, but not sure what else to do. The GoPro I am using is older and has no mic adjustments in itself. My have to look into getting a newer GoPro? I appreciate your help with with this.
Enjoyed, nice build of tools for the shop
Thanks for watching Chuck. 🙂
Gday Tom, good set of Jacks, they’ll last a lifetime, cheers
Thanks Matty. Just need to do that fancy etching on them now.

Nice one . I might have to copy that design only slightly larger ! 👍
That would be cool. I have already used them on a recent job.
Nice job Tom.

Sweet. I hope you video the making of them.
Those are really nice looking jacks with a good design, Tom. I am going to have to copy those. I saw an 1144 on the stock you showed - stressproof?
Hey Robert. I believe it was 304 stainless. I got this drop years ago and never rusted so I am figuring it is stainless.
Very nice Tom
Appreciate it Gary.
Nice job thanks for sharing
Those are some sharp looking Jax, Jack. ;)
Thanks David.
Sure look sweet Tom !
Nice jacks
Thanks.
Great design and rigidity. Have enough ass that I wouldn't feel like I was going to bruise them 👍👍
Thanks. You going to build a set?
You need to make a set of Extra Large Jaws for the Knurler.
Good idea. 👍
@@hilltopmachineworks2131 Once I see how you do it I can make some too.

The 13x40 would not have been happy that is for sure. I would have backed off on the DOC's for sure. The Monarch is 16x54 and weighs close to 5K.
@@hilltopmachineworks2131 is it 7 and 1/2 or 10 horsepower and what's the overall length of it I need to get me a bigger machine
@@junkmannoparts9696 It is only a 5hp motor. I can measure it tomorrow. It is a lighter machine compared to the Monarchs of the 1940's era.
@@hilltopmachineworks2131 Man that sounds like a perfect size I have to keep my eye open for something like that
Thanks Tom
