Wait until you hear the drummer sing lead.
Dust to dust is a good one to start with.

You should react to the live version at Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City, Aug of 2022. There's also a nice Dany vocal treat at the end.

Hey Dude! "Where have I been? How am I so late to the party?" Everyone asks that when they discover The Warning! You are just scratching the surface, my man! Welcome to The Warning Army!

    The Warning's superpower is live.
Their songs have enough space to let all instruments shine while not detracting from the vocals. One of the advantages of a 3-piece. It helps when you have powerful singers that wail when they need to.

The Warning's sound is solid. They have classic rock influences, along with other genres of newer rock, but their sound is unique. I'll suggest Hell You Call A Dream live at the Pepsi Center, cheers.

Dany has a wonderful voice and vocal dynamics. She is unmistakable. When you hear her sing, you know it's Dany. She is the guitarist and principal lead singer of the band. All three sing. Paulina is the drummer and also provides lead and backing vocals. Alejandra is the bassist and provides backing vocals and rare lead vocals. Thank you for reacting to The Warning! Subscribed!
Also, you may want to take a closer look at this music video. Paulina was the screenwriter. It is done like a Mexican telenovela. She calls it her "brain baby" It was also her directorial debut!
I think you will enjoy a semi-acoustic version of this song, which they performed in a radio station's performance studio. The video is titled 'The Warning | Qué Más Quieres || en Exafm'.

The acoustic is what 'sold' me on this song. Before I heard that I just thought it was so-so.

"Hell You Call A Dream" live at the Pepsi Center and "Choke" live at Teatro Metropólitan are two of Dany's best vocal performances. Definitely check them both out.

Indeed, Daniela's (lead singer & guitar) vocals are amazing. She has a big range and a very powerful voice whether she sings high or low. Check out "Automatic sun" from Tecate Pal Norte (studio version) or "Hell you call a dream" live from Pepsi Center. She does a fantastic job in both of those songs.

These three beautiful young woman are musical prodigies. Dive deep and appreciate the care and complexity of all their songs, whether it's all out hard rock, like Evolve, or Dull Knives, or Hell you Call a Dream... or the more poppy songs, like More, or the grungy Sick, to the achingly beautiful 23 and When I'm Alone and the exquisitely melancholy Revenant. I know of no other band (at least not since Queen) who have such an amazing range. And you know the really amazing thing? They are the most delightful, thoughtful, positive, charming humans. They spend quality time with their fans. Their mom and dad often come on tour with them. They treat their crew like family. They barely drink (maybe the odd mojito). They don't even swear! I LOVE this band!

💯this song is 🔥. People are obsessed with the video because it is awesome BUT Dany’s vocals are off the chart. I recommend checking it out acoustic as well. It’s just a short version they did at a radio station but Dany wails (& a little solo Ale as well😊)

I see acouple of people throwing shade because you were closing your eyes during the video, but I totally respect the fact that you were hyper-focussing on the music the whole time. The video is pretty hilarious with all the retro movie, TV and pop culture references, but the bottom line is the music. You can alway rewatch the OMV later to see the video, but because this is your first listen I completely understand why you wanted to really 'feel' the song. Great reaction.

@@HIM_066xMusicReactions Pau, the drummer, used the phrase "You've been Warned" at the 2017 TEDx. It has since become a common statement to new reactors.

You need to hear Dany's vocals in their latest "Hell You Call A Dream" the official version live at the Pepsi Center CDMX and also the Official video for "Automatic Sun", I'm sure you'll enjoy them, and then you can go to one by one of the songs in their Official video for the concert at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX, it was profesionally recorded and it is a jewel. Cheers!

Besides Hell You Call A Dream, I can recommend Dust to Dust at the teatro metropolitan. Since you enjoy Dany’s voice check out the acoustic version they did at a radio station:

@HIM - all the comments above and below are really great! But I suggest you watch their documentaries: TIDAL Rising - The Warning; and MayDay in the Making episodes 1-6; these will give you their history and a look into their personalities in their own words as well as their family and team members! Cheers! #APDVillaReality

Good reaction. First you should listen to Evolve at the 2023 MTV VMAs. Then any song (or all songs) from the 2022 Teatro Metropolitan Concert. New album, Keep Me Fed, is dropping June 28, 2024.

As good as they sound on their studio recorded videos and songs you really need to hear them live, I suggest watching any song from the Teatro Metropolitan concert it is amazing, they are one of the few bands that actually sound better live, in fact they write and play specifically to perform live, if they can't do it live then they don't record it. They are all so incredibly talented it is beyond belief. You've heard Dany singing twice now, but I suggest you now listen to the drummer (Pau) singing lead I would go with Dust to Dust from the Teatro show you will not regret it. All three of them can sing although Ale (bassist) prefers to only be the backing singer she does to like to be out front singing lead but has done so on occasion. You have been Warned, now dive on in to the rabbit hole and don't look back.

It was my first listen, dissecting all the different elements of the song, on top of Spanish not being my first language so translating the lyrics in my head takes up a lot of my bandwidth. The most important thing for me was understanding the music vs the visuals. I hear the feedback tho

You missed half the content you were reacting to; I understand getting lost in the music, but this was a well done video and you didn't have anything to say about it at all.
Since you've done two OMVs, you should check out a live performance. Everything in the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (Metropolitan Theater, Mexico City) show is fantastic, and the video and audio production are the gold standard for a live show. Check out 23, Dust to Dust, or Narcisista (Spanish) to see how Pau, the drummer, does on lead vocals. Hell You Call A Dream (live) and the two vids from the VMA awards are a little newer, and are also great.

    • @HIM_066xMusicReactions

On top of listening to the singing, instrumental, the mix, etc. I was translating the lyrics. I am Hispanic, but Spanish is not my first language. Likewise, I will keep your feedback and as well as similar opinions in mind when I react to MVs in the future.
TY for watching and suggesting live performances for me to check out.

You're reacting to the music, vocals and mix, which is appreciated, but you're missing the visuals, which is what this video is all about. Maybe you can run the video twice - one to hear it and one to watch it with reactions to both.
