I know we already have a Super Turrican longplay (made by Retroplay) on our website. This longplay is made solid, but shows almost none of the numerous secrets.
So I decided to make a new longplay. It contains all the hidden areas and the best path to all extra lifes and diamonds (and there are tons).
It really took quite a while, until everything was the way I've imagined. But now I am quite happy with it. I hope you like it. Have fun !

@@saniquinho10 Matter of opinion and what you grew up on. In the US we had both systems, and for affordable prices, so we got to experience both consoles. So we in the US got to grow up on both, and don't form biased opinions.

Super and Mega Turrican all have great music.
Both of them have some of the best percussion I have ever heard on the systems they were on.

Omg, this is like Megaman, Metroid, Cybernator and Contra mixed together. The different guns, abilities, power ups and secret portals to bonuses. I love this!
31:00 ice level has the greatest video game music of all time, because of the badass little bells!
I love how you can squash enemies like Mario instead of taking damage in contact with an enemy.
I love how they scream in pain, run off, and die when you do.

@NALTO Chris’ music for Mega Turrican is so out of this world… Makes an already amazing run and gun feel even better. My absolute favorite track is the one for the final level, really feels like a dire song, yet so pretty.

I just recently played this game for the first time. Amazing game, right up my ally. Wish I would have found out about this many years ago. The soundtrack is amazing, hats off to the composer.
The composer would be Chris Hülsbeck. He scored quite a few games back then, with my favourite music of his being in the Amiga game _Apidya_.
If you guys want to have more fun with Super Turrican, there are already Retroachievements created for it recently. You can have more fun collecting all lives and finding all secrets - this awesome video helps you a lot, but the journey will not be easy anyway!
I think this is the first videogame in history with surround support, and it really shows!
Super and Mega Turrican are the two extraordinary games I've ever played the Gameplay is awesome the soundtrack is Awesome and the game is not as challenging than I thought it was when I first played it. I just brought Turrican Flashback for the Nintendo Switch.
Me and my buddies used stay up all night and play this game. My freind Amelia was so good at playing this game.

It’s not as good as the Amiga _Turrican_ games, but it is still above average for its time.
The music is by one of the best game-music composers ever: a German man named Chris Hülsbeck.
Probably the BEST shooter game on the SNES. This is even better than Contra. Truly a hidden gem.

Actually King Arthur's World had the Dolby Surround before Super Turrican. Don't know if it was the first, though. (Thinking of it, Starfox probably had it before Super Turrican too.)

This game is a wierd mix of my favorite games! (Turrican, Turrican II and Turrican 3)
Turrican is actually a run and gun, but i agree, it is probably my favorite run and gun saga, more even than contra.

I wonder if there'll ever be an official turrican timeline...i'd say this game would take place between turrican 2 and mega turrican, with this game being about one of the machine's lesser plans (rather than getting involved himself, this time he sends an alien faction of his army to terrorize a planet.)

Turrican is still one of the best run n gun - games ever .=D its really a shame that they didnt make new sequels of this awesome franchise . =( the music is awesome ,the action is solid & fluid in once and the graphics was awesome at the time .=) i hope someone make a new sequel which looks awesome like the original series and have this cool music too . ^^ but the problem is : which publisher and developer should make a new sequel and which is the best for such a game ? =/
The levels are different from the MegaDrive version. The levels in that one are like in factory and you get a underwater level around the third stage. The Snes version you are Castlevania like, not that it's a bad thing and you get a freeze beam instead of the lightning whip.
Sorry but in my regards the music who starts at 13:10 is by far the best of the game.
Can't wait for the switch version.

Too bad, the game was uncomplete on the SNES and so you never fight the final boss (machine) and it ends directly after the alien level. The Xmas levels were also out of place for a Turrican game and the Level design was pretty confusing sometimes. The full Versions are Turrican 3 on Amiga and Mega Turrican. But it´s nice to see the kinda weird Version on SNES, wich has also the best quality soundtrack, next to the Amiga Version.
