- A blocked guttering down pipe caused this customers house to flood....
As the condensate pipe was fitted directly into the bottom of the gutter downpipe the downpipe had become blocked and back fill with water.
The pressure of the water in the blocked downpipe pushed the water into the condensate pipe which then ruined the boiler and caused a leak within her home. After fixing the boiler issue the customer needed to get the downpipe unblocked in order for the new condensate pipe to be fitted but this time with a tundish to prevent this happening again.

should you not be pulling gunge out of the pipe below? there is often a trap there (like an appendix). after that a hosepipe run down it for 10 mins to make sure not backing-up further down

how much do you charge for that ? I have a blocked downpipe, its got i estimate about 2ft worth of mud in it towards the bottom! Just moved in...im not sure what to do next

That looks like pure dirt coming out of there!
It’s moss from the roof that’s compacted over time I believe.
That would be birds - crows/black-birds/magpies and pigeons pecking at the moss for bugs = often dislodging it, and when it rains it will get washed down the pipe, blocking it. And if it doesn’t rain - the birds would be flinging the moss out of the gutter, looking for bugs

The downpipe was fully cleared of debris, no need to jet a pvc downpipe 👍🏻
Get a pair of rubber gloves
Your tool is too simple, also you need gloves.
Why not put a hose down it ? Would have cleared it quicker ?
