    "Its not the ADC's job to kill the ADC in a team fight. Its your job to kill whatever is in front of you." Wish people understood this...

      I had an ADC in one of my games who rage quit because they never understood Nami's heal bounced, and so the situation went: I healed them, it jumped to the enemy, it bounced back to me. My ADC, however, decided that because my health bar also went up, I, therefore, didn't heal them. Going on to say, "Nami's heal doesn't bounce noob you don't even know your champ, you just healed yourself and let me die"; "/All report Nami noob". They then ragequit the game and never came back.

      I had a sup yesterday that kept pushing the wave for me, I knew that the jungler was nearby and that I should freeze but she kept hitting the damn minions, then later we got ganked and instead of running she engaged, I tried to help her but she was under the fucking tower
      Our jg couldn't counter jg bc our wave was so pushed
      And like this happened so much times, she was 0/5 and I was 1/0
      Late game the jg and adc was feeded by her and our team couldn't handle it bc the top lane feeded as well, and the team blamed me in the end.
      That was the only time that someone got me tilted

    • @kjono4611
      @kjono4611 6 років тому

      Why did you not ask her to stop attacking the minions? Just say to her than you are playing safe and not to attack the minions, danger ping her once if she continues to do it and say in chat for her to please stop.

    • @MariaLuiza-tp2dc
      @MariaLuiza-tp2dc 6 років тому

      Kjono 1 I wasn't in a good mood that day, so I didn't typed on the chat, just muted when the team started arguing

    I think one of the most important things you mentioned that has made a difference to my ADC performance (which was kinda skimmed over in the video) is that it isnt the ADCs job to kill the other adc, or the other mid laner, but to kill whoever you can that is in front of you as quick as you can. This mindset really helped me be aware of my positioning and lead to a lot more successful teamfights, instead of going balls deep and insta-dying, trying to kill certain targets. Thanks Phy!

  • @1337Blackout
    @1337Blackout 8 років тому +10

    My biggest problem as ADC is the lane phase. And I know the theory about trading, but the enemy support is the biggest problem to me. When I follow the 2 rules you said, the enemy support can harras me for this. In most cases my support is a random guy, so I can´t count on him all the time. Would be cool if you can make a more detailed video about the laning phase.

    • @Eazyrun
      @Eazyrun 8 років тому

      You have to trust your support. pay attention when he's engaging and follow up, but always observate the situation. Did the opponent ADC fail a trade? Am I positioned well? Are my abilities on cooldown?
      And don't try to use your abilities on last hits. Trade with the enemy until they're dead or back. Your support is mostly there to keep you alive and maybe to engage, nothing more.

    • @rob792
      @rob792 8 років тому

      +1337Blackout Take a lot of time to really gauge the damage different champions do. I found my ADC wins spike when I finally figured out that a lot of the time when I got scared and I ran I could have easily just toughed out the initial damage and won the fight.

    • @SuicidalLemonade
      @SuicidalLemonade 8 років тому

      +1337Blackout like these guys said, as an adc you cant force an all in engage. you just have to take free autos and poke. if your support does nothing then you just have to take the cs lead.

    Supports make or break ADCs. Good engages, smart lane freezes, even little things like hitting minions under tower so you can last hit them. Those are the marks of a good support and what ADCs need to snowball hard late game.

    +Phylol Support Guide please! I main support, and consider myself very decent (able to carry a good chunk of games,) but find the role a bit too team dependant!
    Tanks although CC heavy lack damage that can influence the game, (and everyone knows low ELO derps don't know when to take opportunities/engage with you,)
    ...and AP supports although potentially damage/carry heavy are very squishy and can't contribute much to team decision making like tanks can.
    Any advice/teamfight guides for us support mains? Maybe explore a resurgence of Bruiser supports?

    My only flaw is that in the mid - late game I fall short on cs because the enemy adc just farms bot lane while i group with my team and I can never farm those side waves without worry my team would get caught out and blame me afterwards.

Or those awkward moments when you don't see anyone on the mini map so you can't roam or push and you don't have enough gold to buy anything so you are just stuck there running around in circles under your turret.

    @Phylol in lane, if you have to pick between getting a minion or poking the other laner a bit, what's the better option? I noticed you said that lower elo players usually kill the minion, so does that mean poking is better? But wouldn't that cause you to have a gold deficit? A reply would be very appreciated, I'm really trying to get a better understanding of the game. Thanks!

    I hate how I already try all of this but I'm still too bad to actually carry :( only thing I need to improve on is not hitting the non threats that was something I didn't realise I was doing untill now. I hope that will tip the edge and I can start carrying myself again without getting peel ^^

    Not to sound mean but I have heard a good deal of this before... However I really liked the format and how it was very concise (:
