He promoted pink wards and then the following 3-4 plays showed people dying by warding, wasting pink wards, or having their pink wards killed by being pushed away from them 1vX. So no, I'm not gonna buy more than 1-2 pink wards, unless the enemy team has a stealth champ. Lower elo games tend to have EXACTLY zero contest over vision, so the moment my pink gets spotted, it will just get killed and there will be nothing I can do 1vX.
if you dont almost get caught warding at least once in your game your probably not warding right

Say you are playing Ekko and you have the chance to get a 4-man stun, so you go for it, thinking your team will collapse on them and follow up... But they don't and you just end up dying for nothing. Don't rely on your team. Go for 4v5s, 3v5s etc, where the fights will always result in your victory, even if your team doesn't follow up on each other's plays.
Don't play ranked if you're not feeling positive or with energy.

Even as a support main myself I still have that bad habit of buying a health potion or 2 if I have 50-100g instead of a pink ward. In saying that though, I've largely fixed that issue by buying the refillable on first back.

nicotine I’m Challenger and I’m greedy af most of the time if I see they are coming for me when I’m off split pushing I’ll just keep going if I know I can trade 1 for 1 on a high priority target. Unless I know my team is completely incompetent and won’t take advantage of the fact that 3-5 people are coming to one spot on the map just to trade 1 for 1.

It'll work itself out when you get lucky enough to have enough teams that don't get you demoted. I've been in plenty of games where the only reason I lost a promo was because there was a toxic jerk on my team. You try to help them and they think they're diamond tier when they can't even handle the bronzies they're up against. Doing what you can will only take you so far. Nobody can really argue that effectively especially in a team game, regardless of how much or little you try to depend on them. Let's face it. When you mid laner feeds the enemy zed 10/1, everyone worries about that team member.

I've noticed that it's best to climb out of Bronze on the weekends. Sad to say, but a lot of the 'worse' players play on weekends because it's a hobby, but the better players play during the week days to try to climb out. I was able to go from Bronze III to Silver V in one massive weekend pretty easily.

Blaine Howes not trying to be a dick here but I've won all my ranked matches on weekdays... cause all my teammates were idiots on weekends... Tbh I would rather play against god-tier enemies with decent teammates than play against alright enemies that have a lower skill level than me but only to be dragged down by worse teammates. If the enemy team is way better skill wise than me and my team, then I deserve the loss. If I am definitely better than the enemy team but I still lose cause of my idiotic teammates, I get salty.
As a jungler, is it a good thing to give kills to laners? When I play my carry champs (udyr, voli) thing its best i take them since I can do more with it then relying on other people I know its situational but what do u think?
+ITzStarz When I jungle (which isn't often) I say this: A fed Volibear/Xin/Fiddle is better than a non-fed one.
If your adc is going even vs the enemy adc I give them the kill to snowball. Overall it depends on who's doing better, and how far into the game we are. If your midlaner has 2 kills but 5 deaths at like, 20, then it's not worth giving them the kill since they wont utilize the gold efficiently. They should have 1 item finished by 20, if they don't then I focus on feeding myself to carry. I have a tendency to rely on teammates a lot, and recently I've been going ap carry support as morgana, so if my adc is bad at least I can build full damage after my sightstone to compensate.
Remember how sweet the assist gold is. If you go into lane and murder someone in the face, you might feel bad about your ADC but don't. Half the gold for a kill is better than no gold for no kill. They're up 150gp moneys and can farm free and gain experience while the person they're up against is dead losing minions and XP. He'll come back weaker and easier for your ADC to kill by herself next time. If you can click away last second and let the ADC have final auto, go for it, just don't beat yourself up if you Kill Secure from time to time.

Looking at the other two comments, and being a high ranked elo player, I think its a mix of where you are going with your question. For example I love to Pantheon jungle. and if I get fed early as pantheon, meaning I am 4-0-2 or something like that (Which is common for me) I have my jungle item, boots, and something like an infinity edge (which proxs great with pantheons passive btw) by 12-15min mark I am doing major major damage and am a huge threat. I am already ahead, so I give the kill away. Now if I am like 2-1-1 for example, I need that gold just as much as the other guy on my team, if not more, because I need to get cracking and help other lanes. So I dont feel as bad, especially if your team mate is going even or ahead.
The other thing which I think people get carried away with is they get ahead and they like to stay ahead. by this I mean, you are going 12-2-8, and you are with your adc split pushing...and you take the kill...when you dont need it. Because your fed, you do damage like crazy, and hell, its fun to get kills, especially when you are just melting people. But you dont need the gold, the adc does (or whoever your with). We have all played that game where one guy on the other team is just fed like crazy, but the rest of the team isnt. like a mid fizz with 14 of the teams 19 kills. Sure fizz is doing great, but he keeps taking the kills because he is having to much fun shoving a shark up their asses and dodging skill shots (I hate fizz with a passion btw...I always go ape on the little floppy fish...nothing pisses me off more than a decent player with a fed fizz...), which is causing other members of his team to struggle for gold. Then it becomes a hold out game and playing keep away from Fizz. Whereas if that jungle (or to be honest anyone in this position really, though its more common with jungles) would have been happy with a score of 5-1-3 or so, and then given the rest way, even to the support, the overall gold sharing and thus effectiveness of your team goes way up. And its not like a jungle score of 4-4-23 (which was a game I played the other day as a fiddle jungle) is a bad thing. I had gold out the freakn wazoo, I was pushing objectives, taking dragons, stealing the enemy jungle, pissing off the other team because they were annoyed (and commented multiple times) that I seemed to be everywhere at once...That sentence, right there, in a nut shell, is what an effective jungler does.
(now if its a team fight...who cares who gets the kills. Time is more important, especially the later the games goes. Just get the triple-ace, and push an objective or two. haha)

+Toprak Koç I think he mostly means to not make plays where the situation can be misinterpreted. Example 2v2 at bot lane, both sides are at half health, you and your adc have your backs to your opponents. You're a leona and decide to go for a stun, but your adc keeps running the other way lets say because they didn't have mana. You pretty much gave them a free kill in that case. I think its much more complicated than phy makes it seem. The simple answer i would say is to atleast try not to die.
The last tip should be changed into looking at the map... Pink ward is useless if you dont look at the map

+itzHyperRex Sometimes when you're ahead you should most of the time spread your power and presence trough the map. Let's say you're a 3/0 LeBlanc, you should push your lane and immediately start roaming to other lanes. Or let's say you're a fed top Maokai and find and opportunity to TP botlane, then you go for it. Or if you're a fed Tristana who can take towers easily or a Kalista that can guarantee an easy Dragon or Rift Herald tell your JGer and your SUP to help you do it.
It's all about taking your lead to other lanes, because most of the time people tend to get fed and keep looking for kills rather than taking objectives or helping your teammates. Just remember to know your champion's strength and use it to WIN the game, not to get a *badass looking useless score*.
+Dimas de la Peña I agree, but about the part when you mentioned roaming as a 3/0 leblanc, i just have a better suggestion which might be more effective, picking sion mid with zzrot in this patch would help you pressure mid and help bot as much as you want when you have a chance to. Do you think that works better than the original mid laners like leblanc? (Im just silver not a good player yet)
Jack Jackharold It might work as a cheesy way to win a normal. But most of the time you need to fullfill certain roles in the team. Sion is a great tank that provides a lot of CC and an awesome initiaton ult, but maybe you already got someone on the top lane or in the JG that already does that (Amumu, Malphite...).
Depending on your team composition (strenghts, synergies) and your opponents, you might want to pick an assassin like LeBlanc to disrupt the backline and kill a priority target like a hypercarry (Kog'Maw, Jinx...) or maybe your team needs a control mage like Azir or Viktor. It all changes from match to match but always look forward to fullfill the needs of your team.

You can play a support that can smash bot lane in the event your ADC is incompetent (which is going to get you flamed at some point but you can't help that) or you can play one that does change the dynamic globally or substantially in your favor aka Soraka. I played a lot of Kench and Karma which have turned tides easily but even then if your team can't understand this is a team objective based game and not TDM you're gonna have to take a loss...it's the nature of the beast.
I love to play the JGL position and after watching this video, I will begin to advise my team in pregame - no pink ward down, no gank - vision is so key!

Ok, for the first bad habit. Assuming your team will follow-up, couldn't you also fix that one by telling your team when you want to go in as well. I mean, you are still assuming they will go, but for the most part, even when its a bad fight to take, I see people take the fight if someone says to go in. Plus, that would help build communication skills for higher elos. Just wondering about it, not sure how well it will work.
+ponsoke A good thought but it does not work every time. I mostly have the problem that assuming my team will follow-up, ends up in me dying alone against the enemy team, when I need to play support. When I started to realize that, I used pings and chat more often, but it still ended up in me going in alone, while my teammates are swinging their balls, getting the cs, recalling with full hp and other shit. That's why I started to close LoL when I need to support. I mostly play assassins now, because I know I can solo certain situations with them. Kinda sucks, because I would love to play in a more team based way. (I never played ranked before, only playing unranked normals and ARAM games.)

Honestly, I think only times I buy pink ward is when I'm forcing myself to get an S rank, since pink wards increase the score by alot.

I am rlly toxic , I was high diamond and my account got banned. so I even struggle to et out of Platin because I tilt to much / get mad really fast or I dont care (because I will climb anyways) now I am in Platin for like a week lol. I dont use chat though but tilting is a thing.
Also, another nasty habbit that happens to me when I play support, sometimes when I finaly get that sightstone, I forget to swap my trinket to the sweeper, causing me to have up to 5 wards instead of 3 and a ward counter.
Not to mention I forget to swap my sweeper for the level 9 one once you hit that mark.
I make an item set with the pink ward at the top, with the block titled "don't forget me" :)

Haha, the baron one reminds me of this time. I'm support, with an ADC trist. We are doing baron without our jungler, but with our mid. When it's half health, enemy jungler Volibear shows up with Vlad. Me and mid back off. Trist stays on it. She could easily have jumped over the wall. Instead she's greedy, tunnels baron, Voli walks up, smites it, kills her. Trist then flames me super hard, saying I'm the worst support and have no idea what I'm doing---despite the fact I got her super fucking fed as Nautilus support. Good times... gotta love this game's players...
As a two week player, I'd say the worst bad habit (I'm only in classic blind pick games atm) is instalocking a champion while typing "MID FIRST!111!!!" or something like that. I don't want to know how many games I've lost having 3 adcs in bot lane trolling themselves, or 4 guys on top or any abominable comp like that.
I just built custom pages for certain types of champions, like general items for tank support, healer/shield support, ADCs and added pinks, upgraded trinkets, and anything else I might need at my average backing time. Like for healer/shield support, I put a pink between my upgraded starting gold item and my boots. Maybe add a pink after a BF sword on ADCs. :0
Hey, i have a video suggestion. What to build when for each ADC. My biggest example is when should you go standard adc build on Vayne or Rageblade. Or when to go the Tyler1 build on Draven or standard IE/Essence Reaver. Im sure you can find other examples.
A bad habit I have, is still going in after I've been exhausted in the early stages of Bottom Lane (lvl 1, 3). I tend to all in, the fight looks good, then I or my lane buddy gets exhausted, they heal and all of a sudden enemy Draven is 2/0 and we lose the game. If you get exhausted, if you're ADC or Support, just stay back, it's one of the easiest ways of loosing a 2v2 in the early game.
Always bought pink, wwarded everywhere and called for objectives as a support.. Stll silver 4 (gold 3 last season) . Saw people that never bought wards climbing while im stuck. It sucks, im gonna uninstall
I've picked up or had 4/6 of these recently, and watching this vid actually put into context a lot of my mistakes (which contributed to a drop from silver 2 to silver 5 and a hatred of Ranked). Now I know some things I need to work on...
Bad habit: Killing a ward during gank,even if your enemy dives in.Jungler comes for a gank,your lane opponent goes in for a trade and then... jungler stops because he saw a juicy pink ward in a bush. Pink ward>Kill?
I totally agree on the Pink Ward one. I am Lv23 and this actually saves me a lit of kills and deaths. I often play jungle and it is sooooo usefull. Like, only 75 gold but worth 500.
I just recently started using them. Feels so good.
Call me a noob, but can someone explain this interaction for me? At 5:45 in the video, Janna knocks kogmaw up with her tornado, then immediately ults to heal lucian. The only other form of CC that I see being applied on kogmaw is rek'sai's slow, so is the interaction between janna's Q knocking kogmaw up so he can't be knocked away intentional (and I'm just a noob for not knowing about it) or is that a bug?
Coming from a support main, not relying on the team and not directly warding is completely retarded, getting sight stone and having a ward in river bush basically 100% of the time leaves next to no chance for an unseen gank. While warding over the wall if they're pushed up is better, if you're in lane it's next to impossible to do without leaving the adc exposed. The support also can't fight something without his team so I have to rely on others. Not bein mad or toxic, just saying

Tip 6. ACTUALLY PLACE the pink. Too many times I've just kept my pink for like 2-3 mins before remembering I have it.
The best way of climbing is..... Get a friend, make sure u have cummunication with him, pick a wombo (malph/yas etc) and enjoy your freelo.
Phy what I notice from these videos is, you place into your viewers mind, that their team will always be worthless and that they themselves are better than them. Even though most likely in lower elo, there will be multiple of your viewers in the same team. Now we have a team filled with egoistic low elo baddies that refuse to teamwork and only look out for themself. That's not how this game is meant to be played, neither is it fun to play with such people.
I myself know the struggle to climb, I just recently got Diamond 5, and that you and your friends are the only thing you can actually count on, but you shouldn't look down on your teammates like you keep mentioning.
The tip about warding over walls is soooo important for midlaning. You should virtually never be warding either mid river bushes in any other way. By walking behind the wall, neither the enemy laner or the jungler who might be ganking you can see you and it leads them to believe you're leaving lane which will make them position incorrectly. Always step behind a wall to ward the bushes mid. Do it.
How to not forget to buy pink. I make all my champion item set. ALWAYS place the pink ward near the starting/early items. Each time you open the tab you see the pink ward and you remember it exists.
Having mained support in Season 3, back when supp was just a warding machine, I buy pinks on every back automatically xD
Thanks for pointing this out. I find myself doing most of these (not at all times but sometimes) Would it be bad if you have vision, you're low health and you stay to grab a few minions to get that bs sword that gives you a big advantage even when you killed your enemy laners? ( I was playing adc)
Also rule of warning, don't show up to lane with a pink ward. A good enemy will check to see what you've built, and if you show up into lane with a pink, and then it vanishes. The enemy will know you've placed it, push the lane hard, and go looking for it, diminishing it's gold value by a lot.

actually engage supports suck in low elo. your team has no idea how to respond after you cc them and only help you once you die.
every time i play in my smurf i keep forgetting about people is not gonna follow. THEY legit go in a 3 v 5 without vision but they dont wanna rush or bait baron when jung and adc are dead. it tilts the fck out of me and. is my bad for not remembering that im playing in silver gold lul xd

People not backing when they are low on HP is my favourite thing for the enemy to do when I'm Jhin. That 4th shot will end you. Also I think I might get a pink ward posit note myself. I seem to remember them the moment I arrive in lane but never when I back.
My rule for pink wards is buy one every back unless the pink you put down is still up

thank you for mentioning warding. As a support main I couldnt tell you how many times the only wards I see on my screen are the ones that I and sometimes my jungler has placed, then people complain because they are constantly getting ganked and at the end of the game you look at their stats and for a 30 min game you see they have only placed two wards total. Pink wards are cheap yes but part of the other problem is people get a ward free at the start of the game and they never use it, or only use it till like level 6. Videos are great keep them up
ok you help me so muchh but i have a question about something that you said clearly about farm and dont do only a necessary fights who can just let your team win the game but for exemple if you play mage champ in mid against zed or talon and whatever you are safe and you still under tower they can get you under tower easily and run alive so how can you escape from those things ??

Wow watching the over view of people make bad plays is actually tilting. Like, i almost wish you didn't put it in the video because i literally feel my face wince every time i see a bad play.
For pink wards I just add a pink ward in my starter items. Eventually you get used to it and if you play another champion without a build you automatically think to buy one,
That feel when you realize you suck at the laning phase but make the right calls in team situations... but then you look back and realize that the first tip is to not rely on your teammates as much to follow you up in fights, and then you realize how hopeless it is for a support player ._.
1st tip: Very wrong. Many lower ELO players are going to assume that it's not their fault for diving headon into a teamfight.
i have played lee sin i habe placed a pink ward into the bush right next to enemy red buff. enemy Evelynn waalked through there at least 4 times Aliatar twice and nobody cleared the ward xD

What is the point of changing your habits when you still cant climb elo because people on your team feed very hard? I swear i do all this already but yet still stuck in silver because i can't carry a team with 0/10 lee that dives every time or a 8/10 draven that doesn't do much but split and then tp's into a lost 4v5 and pretends to clean a fed yasuo and xin xao. How? Even the support can 1v5 because my team can't focus 1 person or land abilities. What am i suppose to do in a game where the enemy is fed to the point where one ability could kill you? I can't dodge forever. I also don't understand why Riot thought it was a good idea to completely fuck up the rank system. Now that i can't win games, but i can gain lp bc i lose more than i gain. What are the chances of you winning 3 games in a row so that if you lose, you'd would still have the same amount of lp as if you won one game. I haven't gotten past 50 lp in s5. Im so salty about this game currently but its literally the only game i play because i have nothing else to do. Im so salty.
Assuming that your teammates are bad then the other teams you will get to play against might be just as bad as them. And if you're better than that - you can carry. Bronze get matched with bronze and silver with silver and gold with gold.. As he says in the other videos is that some games will be unwinnable, but certainly not all of them. It's those games where all lanes are losing and the jungler is threated in jungle. Sometimes you will also have the upperhand like that, and that will be kinda boring. But most of the time you will either have some lanes winning and some lanes losing. After laning phase it's all about decision making where the team makes the best one and executes it best that will have the upperhand. Chechout bingegaming "how to escape each elo" He has some very nice good tips for each elo up to master tier.
don't know the details but when i communicating to chat i'm stack to platinum 5 but when i start muting everyone cause i think ping command is enough so i can focus to gameplay got to diamond 4 quickly

Two years later: NOT greeding for the cannon minion will lose you the lane, because it gives so much gold you automatically lose if your enemy gets a cannon and you dont.

I can’t even get a single pvp kill i either get teamed up on or they seem to just be stronger regardless of who i use or what i do i’ve used almost every character in the list over the last 6 months and have only gotten 1 lucky kill
im a adc main and i watch lcs for this tips but i cant get higher cause my support always does dumb shit like going to ward while fight can you give us more tips about helping ur supp as adc??

buying pink wards is all well and good, but if we dont watch the Map, then they are useless, I agree buying them is a absolute must do, but its still annoying

What about basing in plain sight of the other team in lane? If your not baiting, then your just showing them that you are not there to help your teammates for a few seconds...
what about not thinking its probably the reason i lose most my games trying to win lane when i should be looking to survive trying to teamfight when we should pick ik how to win just sometimes i do the opisite because of habit and i feel alot of people do the same

About that greeding for the cannon. Some good advice Bjergerking once gave was that sometimes winning trades is more important than cs.
