One of my favourite RC cars. Had mine a few years now and it is still one of my go to cars for fun. I've done a few mods and upgrades over the years. Excellent value for money too.
@@rcfools Out of all the budget RC's I have bought recently FTX is at the top in regards quality and performance. Can not wait to see what the new Crossbow is like. What are some of the weak points on this RC?
@@FullOnRC Stock transmitter and receiver don't have much range, servo is a bit weak for the car, rear hinge pin needs upgrading to alloy, put diff fluid in the diffs. Especially the centre diff but do them all, shock ends have a habit of splitting on big landings (mainly the rear ones), the bolt that secures the rear brace to the bulk head bends and the steering can get a bit stiff if you don't service it. None of these issues are a major problem unless you are hard bashing. I recommend a 15 tooth pinion. I also sell front and rear guards that stop the build up of debris in the drive train. This is an issue if you run on grass mainly. I run a thicker bolt (4mm) to secure the rear brace. You will have to drill out the rear brace and the plastic mount to do so. I have done a few other mods and upgrades to mine but those are the main issues.
LOL Yerhh I seen how the gearbox is put together after changing the hinge pins......That's why I did'nt bother this time round. They don't feel like they have too much oil in them TBH.....Hopefully I won't regret not doing it.......
@@FullOnRC I recently bought mine and did a full strip down. They had more diff oil in than any other other cars I’ve bought. Enough to run them for a bit anyway. But yea it took me ages to do as I realised you can’t get the diffs out from and rear like all my other cars. You have to take the entire front and rear section off to get at them 😂😂😂

I haven't ran mine yet but I am really looking forward to how it performs. Hearing a lot of good things about it.
@@FullOnRC It is a great car. I've ironed out the weak points on it over the years.

@@rcfools Awesome, what oils did you use in Diffs?
It’s a great machine, very sturdy and it’ll clip 60mph
yerhh I seen it a bit of a rocket. Can't wait to give it first pull of the trigger.
@@oldskoolrc-m7k yes I hit 59mph out the box. Very impressive.
Wait until you take the front and rear diffs out 😂 ball ache

@JPBashed yerhh problem is I stripped one of the rear long bolts that go through the bottom of the gear box.
@@FullOnRC oh no not good buddy. I’m sure you will be alright running it until you get it sorted.
