Video game adaptations are getting better. I cant even think of any of the better ones right now.....but 1 episode Into Fallout and I'm already convinced it's the best. If it keeps going in this direction then it's going to be perfect. Shame about the mess this Borderlands movie turned out to be.
@@AsaRush i agree, the Fallout show is a perfect example of executing an adaptation that brings a lot of new things to an IP while using the game's setting perfectly!
Very well said - I’ve played all the mainline games while my buddy who joined me for the movie has not. He was confused by some of the lack of context, and I was disappointed that they made such colorful characters this bland 😂 It definitely had at least a couple of good action sequences but aside from that and some funny Claptrap moments, nothing really screamed “BORDERLANDS” about it aside from the title. Like you, it just made me wanna go redownload some of the games to play through instead
at the very least, i wanted this to be a dumbed down story with campy jokes and crazy action sequence. it didn't lean in any direction, and it suffered for that!
Watching Randy Pitchford defend the movie on twitter is more enjoyable than the actual movie. Borderlands 3 has some great gameplay, too bad the endgame just isnt there.
I really agree actually, I dont think it was a bad as the whole internet is saying, it has cool moments and the story just could have been better , with handsome jack and I would have loved to see a battle with the vault monster
Roland was never smaller than Lilith. 102 minutes with intro and end credits 😅 , (I'm lvl 72 and Opportunity missions alone took way longer than that ) disgraceful . Lilith is 22 , in the film she starts with "I'm too old for this shit " , embarrassing , Lilith's character never said that word . Moxxie , well we all know Moxxie... Gena's breasts and age don't do her justice . Tennis is a young woman, in the film she's too old ...all of them are too old . Tina's character was completely violated in the film , raped to death . This was a rushed production made with 0 love for the franchise, or knowledge of it . Unstudied characters and unstudied story . Too short for such a story , the film , that is . Awful . 3/10 . This film was a mockery .

@@DawnOfNobodysEra I would definitely watch it, and i'd be SUPER surprised if they don't set it around a niche part of the lore. There's lots of in-universe stories they can run with! I do think this was - at one point - part of why Sony acquired Bungie
