I learned to fly at West Valley Flying Club back in the late 80's and into the early 90's... I will say, since then, the tech in airplanes and the airspace system has made aviation sooooo much safer.. I mean flying my A321 today vs what the guys who flew DC10's or 727's back in the 70's and early 80's is night and day in terms of workload, required skills/situational awareness/spacial awareness and redundant systems.

The Tesla autopilot system was recalled for safety, ALL 2 million of them... how are passengers going to fly in an airplane knowing the pilot is safely on the ground and has zero skin in the game when it comes to their lives?
