I use packing cubes too but instead of putting all my shirts in one and bottoms in another, I like to pack 1 full outfit into a cube (shirt, shorts, underwear and socks). This way I can pull out 1 bag each day of my trip and I know I will never have to dig around for a matching outfit of pair of clean socks.

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who likes to label folders for my personal use and group my dresses in my cubes according to color. I like things in their proper place nothing wrong with that. If things get messy I feel unsettled. When your home is cluttered your mind is cluttered. Good for you !!!

Just returned from Myrtle Beach with my packing cubes, and I don't know how I lived without them. Bought them for husband and two sons as well (23 and 13). Unpacking was SO easy, and the few clothes we didn't wear were still in great shape when we got home. I rolled dresses with half-slips, undies, and bras inside, then put them into cubes. Casual wear was grouped together in different categories (tanks, gowns, swimsuits with cover ups, etc.) It made getting ready for dinner a breeze - just grab and go. Love your videos!

I bought some (the lightweight kind) at the Container Store when they went on sale back in May. Loving how they help me organize everything. Traveling with a carry-on this summer. Trying to avoid checked luggage altogether. I've found that I don't wear most of what I pack anyway. Keeping it simple.

Very well organized. I've heard of rolling your items to pack but I had no idea there were packing cubes. I will have to look for some of those for my next trip. Cute little dog.
I used to keep my chargers that way too (7:38), but the wires eventually get broken due to the tightness of the wrap. I suggest loosely wrapping up the cords and getting a rubber band or those cable wires to tie them together. Wires are too delicate - especially the Apple ones!
Kind of tacky, but on our cords, we use bread ties and/or pipe cleaners. Occasionally, we will put them in discarded toilet paper rolls, but that takes up space

I thought this was such a good idea but didn't know if they were sold in the UK. But then I found small cooler bags in the pound shop. They hold six cans each, have a carry strap and a small outside pocket. I bought four in different bright colours and am using them as packing cubes. :) Plus the little outside pocket is a good place to keep a list of what's inside. I'm quite chuffed with myself for finding them.

I love your channel!! I noticed that you always have extra plastic grocery bags. I like to fold them into triangles so that I can drop them into my purse and always have one handy whenever I need one. You basically flatten them out and return them to their original shape, as they would be in the store. They kinda look like a tank top and then you fold the longer sides into each other to meet in the middle. Then fold one more time, and you'll have a long strip. From there, flatten it one more time to remove any air. Make sure you go from the sealed end to the open ends. Now starting from the sealed end(bottom of bag), take the tip of one side of the bottom of the bag and fold up to the other side to make a peak on the bottom. Then take the peak, and fold up, from there keep folding the "triangle" into itself until you reach the top, and then just tuck the end into the pocket created by folding the bag.

I was wondering if you can you a video about "Moving to dorm necessity" for those us, who are entering university, an important phase of life. That would help a lot, because for most of us this would be the first time to be independent and taking care of ourself. Thank you.
Do you have or could you make a video about packing to move? I've done a few local moves, but I'm moving 600 miles in a few weeks, so everything has to be packed really well and organized to make sure nothing breaks and to make it easier to load, unload, and unpack. Any tips?
I've heard a tip somewhere that you should always keep your name and information inside of the suitcase, maybe put it on the packing list so if your luggage ever were to get lost and the handtag fell off, someone could contact you. Two things I've also learned is to always bring a small lock and cord so you could potentially lock it up somewhere if you can't keep eyes on it, like in a bathroom stall at the airport or on a train. Another is to always bring a doorstop to put under your door while you sleep. You never know, its something you can get at the dollar store and takes almost no space but could help alert you if you hear the door jiggling from the physical blockage.

Hi! I love your videos! How many tops can you fit in the medium cube folded that way? One or two layers? How would you pack shoes if there are no compartments in the lid of your bag? Also, have you done a video on how to pack coming home? I typically have clothes I don't end up wearing and they inevitably mix with the dirty clothes.

I have an eagle creek packing cube if you fold them flat and then fold the ends up you can fit a ton more inside them! But I like your way too!

Hi! I love your videos! How many tops can you fit in the medium cube folded that way? One or two layers? How would you pack shoes if there are no compartments in the lid of your bag? Also, have you done a video on how to pack coming home? I typically have clothes I don't end up wearing and they inevitably mix with the dirty clothes.
