Thank you for these instructions. I own a 2017 Chevy Trax that has been making a chirping noise with acceleration. The issue was with a loose spark plug. I was able to tighten this myself with little to zero mechanical ability and fix the problem. I'll be checking out your videos with other needs as they arise.
Omg thank you... I'm going to try and save money and do this myself...i live in a oilfield town where all mechanics think we make oilfield money and are expensive as heck!
Thank you so much for your video it was a big help and I did my first tune up by myself. It was very easy I also had to change the ignition coil also . Thank you
Thanks for making such a great mechanical video. Just here yo learn how to do all kinds of mechanical myself I turned my TRAX into a micro camper and travel full time in it for 1yr 7mo. Now. LOVE IT. If you don't know the passenger front seat folds flat so I built a bed on that side. If you are 6'5" you can fit front to back. Can we talk about the screws on the Air filter ?!?!? BRING BACK THE CLAMPS ugghhh
@@cportmikesautomotiverepair1355 yessir! Currently working on my 2016 trax. Blower is not blowing 🤦🏼. All there is left to do is do it. Have a great day brother !
Thank you so much for this video. I'm a 68 yr old woman in S.C. living on social security and not really able to afford going to a mechanic as some over charge or find "issues". My car is making a skipping motion and I'm wondering if I need to change the spark plugs. I too have a 2016 Trax. In willing to try changing them myself.
I have a 2016 Trax and I will be using this video and any other vids you make for this make and model in the future thank you. Also do you have any videos on changing the brake pads and rotors
@@cportmikesautomotiverepair1355 Just had an issue with my Trax having a mis-fire at only 70,000 miles. Just got brand new NGK Coil Pack & Plugs. Nice video!
do you have anything for for the turbo? i got a PO299 CODE and i found where and how to change the boost sensor so im going to do that but for the life of me there isnt much trax stuff for the online. hoping the sensor will make the error stop
Sorry you right it's a sealed non serviceable transmission there for no dipstick needed is a check valve bolt at the bottom of the transmission you can check transmission fluid level there
My sister is getting a misfire in her cylinder code in this exact model trax, I’m going to start with this, just change the spark plugs? It doesn’t have wires?
@nicholas lines dumb ass you don't need to torque them if you know what you're doing they are good everybody in they videos do the same thing everybody don't torque them in their videos if you can see duhh!!!
Thank you so much , i just did what you show us , it was very easy with your video .Thank you again

This may sound crazy, but I need to ask. Do the 2016 Chevy Trac cars have a transmission dip stick ?
Yes they do
Nope. Mines sealed they said
Sorry you right it's a sealed non serviceable transmission there for no dipstick needed is a check valve bolt at the bottom of the transmission you can check transmission fluid level there

🤜🤛
Yes you're missing a step.
What is a foot pound of tork you apply on spark plugs.
Because I notice you didn't use a torq wrench
Don't need it if you know what you doing you don't allways have to use a torque wrench!!!!!
