His Holiness Patriarch Kirill led the consecration of Archimandrite Theodosius (Shitov) as bishop

On June 16, 2024, on the 7th Sunday after Easter, the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council (325), His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. During the service, Archimandrite Theodosius (Shitov) was consecrated as Bishop of Alatyr and Poretsk. The newly ordained hierarch, elected to episcopal service by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on May 30, 2024 (magazine No. 46), became the ruling bishop of the Alatyr diocese (Chuvash Metropolis).
