My good man......I'm trying to remember which route from the visual novel the anime is following. I've played it before but that was a while back and I can't remember much. Is it Maho's route Kagari's route or Kurisu's route?

Steins;Gate - MADD SCIENTIST, SO COOL!!
Steins;Gate 0 - sad scientist, very depressed.
That pretty much sums it..
So makise isn’t in steins gate O
I just finished the normal steingate now i dont feel like watching 0 as okabe's deceasing mental already had me on edge lol
@@metin2faithful70 yeah it doesn't make for a fun watch. You suffer with him, while also feeling sorry for Rukako because she can sense something is off but just wants her friend back
@@sarahlott8755 her?
For maximum depression, follow this order:
1. (Re)Watch original Steins;Gate from episode 1-22
2. Forget episode 23-25 (also the movie) exists
3. Watch episode 23 Beta
4. Finally start 0 (episode 1-23+ova)
5. Suffer
*Note- this order is mainly for a rewatch, it should not be followed by someone who never watched/read Steins;Gate before
please follow the intended order which is the release order if that's the case
going chronological for the first time messes up the pacing and is not the intended order to experience this awesome series
Asif Khan so Steins Gate 0 has a sad ending?
I didn't play the vn so I wouldn't know. But I heard that the true ending is bittersweet.
The overall anime is pretty depressing if you ignore some silly and lighthearted moments that were put to cheer us up.
By "suffer" I was referring to the overall theme/vibe of the show.
Not just the ending.
Wait...why should i forget episodes 23-25 ?😅
Because, chronologically speaking, Steins;Gate 0 takes place after episode 22 and before episode 23 of the original anime.
Though some people and even the official localizers say its an "alternate ending" to the original, it's _not_ (albeit I can't really blame them since you can't really describe the plot of 0 properly without spoiling the ending of the original)
It's actually an interquel/midquel.
If you watch the last 3 episodes, you'll already basically know the ending. Just not how it was achieved.
So watching episode 23 Beta Open the Missing Link directly after episode 22 and then starting 0 could be the best choice for getting maximum feels. Especially if it's been a long time since you've watched Steins;Gate.
I know that no matter what type of fiction it is, you should always go for the release order, but in this case I recommend you that order.
UNLESS you never watched the original Steins;Gate.
I'd actually recommend watching by the release order instead of the chronological order if you're a newcomer to the series.
Now, I can't guarantee that the order I recommend is 100% the most ideal order to start S;G 0. Cause it's mainly for those who already watched the original and it highly depends on how the finale of Steins;Gate 0 (episode 23 of 0) turns out to be. Depending on how they execute it, you should be able to watch episode 23-24 of the original (excluding the special episode 25) back-to-back right after finishing Steins;Gate 0.
I didn't read the vn(s) so I don't know, but I believe, in this way the ending of the original Steins;Gate will feel more impactful.
Again, this order is meant for those who are re-watching. Those who didn't watch any of the shows and want to watch 0 should stick to the release order since the animators expect the viewer to already have watched the original. (movie may be skipped as it's not require to "enjoy" 0 at all but I highly recommend it since it's a good movie :) )
I am of those ones who liked steins gate but no remember any shit back on the first season lol
Tenshidark666 haha that’s why I rewatched it again so that I can watch steins gate 0

I just finished the OF Steins;Gate and the alternative episode 23, and I theorized that if Okabe wouldn't get a message from his future self, he would end up becoming the future self that sends his-past-self the message, and the story of Steins;Gate 0 is following this Okabe.
You just confirmed that I was right lol

There can only be 1 active world line and other worlds are nothing more than what ifs.
Here is something I recommend for everyone, watch Steins; gate from episode 1 -23B, switch to watching Zero, then once it finished, go back to the original episode 23 and watch onwards, for "chronological" order. Kinda ironic for a show about Time Travel to have an order. This is how I plan on watching the series.(Adil/Yusuf Pin this for people to see)
There is an order, just because it's full circle theres still a point of origin even if it's lost in the circle but we know there's a starting point.
The release order is way better for newcomers
@I master;bate to kurisu Considering your username you would probably enjoy more Steins;Gate nonetheless
@@Davixxa How so? I'm a new comer and i'm at episode 22 right now. I'm genuinely confused about which watch order i should follow. The chronological one or the release date one? Please say which and explain why. I really need help
@@danluissobrenilla30 Release order. Any day. Going with "chronological" destroys the pacing (and, really, isn't all that chronological because at that point you're starting in the middle of the universe chronology).
>SERN causes World War III.
This is wrong. World War III is caused by the Nakabachi paper, Kurisu's thesis. Not by SERN. There was no World War III in Alpha.
>World Line Convergence
This is just being pedantic, but what you're referring to here is a "Convergence Point", not worldline convergence in itself. The same applies to "World Line Divergence", which actually is a "Divergence Point".
>The divergence can be measured with a divergence meter.
Ehhh. Somewhat. Most likely, the Divergence Meter is literally just a set of nixie tubes with a bunch of numbers put into them, those numbers being numbers Okabe chose in the future.
>>Suzuhu
Suzuha.
>Beta Convergence Points
The first of these two are wrong.
Kurisu dying is a convergence point of Beta. Okabe doesn't have to witness that.
Suzuha landing her time machine correctly is more a result of the circumstances within the Beta Attractor Field than a convergence point. This is also true in reverse in Alpha.
>Beta falls within 1.00-1.99
That's what you'd assume, but there's actually very little to support this. In fact, the official and canon Steins;Gate 0 side book, the Amadeus Script has Attractor Fields in-between Alpha and Beta. Notably two, the first one is a single-worldline Attractor Field called "Attractor Field X" (アトラクターフィルドX), which divergence is actually lower than the second Attractor Field, falling in-between Alpha and Beta:
Which would be: the Steins Gate (シュタインズゲート).
You can find the source for this within the "Divergence Matrix" in the "Amadeus Script".
With regards to the Steins Gate, we don't know what this converges upon exactly. Just that, at least until 2019* (Somewhat, depends on where Robotics;Notes DaSH is going), it doesn't converge upon anything related to time travel.
The Steins Gate is also far from peaceful. ChäoS;HEAd happens on the Steins Gate, since it is a requirement for ChäoS;Child to happen. Robotics;Notes (and presumably DaSH) also happens there.
And this is one of the major problems with the anime, compared to the VN. It basically doesn't touch upon the Committee of 300 (not that the VN does that all that much either, sadly, but at least it is mentioned). These are the big baddies of the big baddies. They're the ones controlling SERN, as well as some other organizations in the other series. I'll keep this as spoiler-free as possible. Their goal is to reduce the population of the world to around 1 billion. In Alpha, this is achieved by SERN.
Side-tangent aside, Suzuha doesn't land her time machine at all in the Steins Gate, for obvious reasons.
All in all, you've kept this video stronger than your first video on the series, but you did blunder an otherwise nice script at the end by calling Attractor Fields worldlines (and subsequently calling worldlines timelines). There are other minor in-accuracies in here, but mentioning those would be spoiling Steins;Gate 0.
Davixxa Surprised the author actually has an overarching bad guy for all the series, didn't think the other series were that connected.
Avenger[K] It's true. All the series so far all lead back to the Committee of 300 (Maybe with an exception of ChäoS;Child, which I haven't read yet.)
"Side-tangent aside, Suzuha doesn't land her time machine at all in the Steins Gate, for obvious reasons."
She does actually, except in the Steins Gate Worldline the time machine is the OR204, not the C204, the time machine made by Kurisu in order to prevent Okabe's Reading Steiner from overloading.
This is assuming the movie is canon, which it only debatably is. The movie violates one of the core principles of Steins;Gate, and has been ignored in any future SciADV material, even material containing Steins;Gate characters. We also don't see 20-something year old Suzuha in any promo-material for Robotics;Notes DaSH. The only time we've seen Suzuha pop up in the Steins Gate Attractor Field, that isn't the movie is in the cancelled novel "The Committee of Antimatter", which listed her as being 18 years old, while taking place in 2016.
The only time we see confirmed canon material refer to the movie is at the end of Recursive Mother Goose (latest 0 episode as of the time of writing), and that's just taking a background location and a vaguely similar event.
I'm not gonna delve into what logic the movie breaks, unless you're confused about it.
"I'm not gonna delve into what logic the movie breaks, unless you're confused about it."
I'd say you're referring to the fact that Kurisu ends up being true to herself, from what the original series establishes this is an impossible event...
On a more serious note, i'm pretty sure you mean Kurisu going back in time and altering the original course of events by having that talk with Okabe.
Doing that should have kicked her out of the Steins Gate Worldline, after all, that's exactly why in Episode 23 future Okabe warns his past self NOT to change established events, but to give the established events a different meaning.
I love your recap. It explained the show so well and I think that even at the time, I didn't really understand how it worked. I really liked Steins;Gate because it had so many twists and the fact that it was so crazy and emotional. I still kind of cry every time I remember that. This is gonna be awesome because even though we don't have Kurisu, we get to see new characters and a new timeline that is basically a side story to the original. It's pretty awesome. I always found this show to be surreal and it really intrigues me. Anyways, let us welcome El Psy Congroo!

I owe you big time. You helped me in a HUGE way to understand Steins Gate and the different worldlines. The convergence knots being a strong point in time. The divergence being how far away the world lines are from each other. At any rate, I'll forget some of this stuff, so I bookmarked this video. Thank you for this video, I was having trouble understanding exactly what 0 was, and didn't realize that Steins;Gate 0 Okabe was the Okabe that sent the instructional video to past Okabe. Was very confused for a moment there...
Damn dude you literally just explained everything that I didn't understand you must be a mind reader or somthing this is literally the video I looked for.
What struck me odd is that when we first see suzu, okabe is spying on her as she is getting off the time machine, we only see her for a split second, but that would mean she was getting off in order to save kurusu, but because okabe sent his first D mail, it changed the timeline into a timeline where kurusu becomes the enemy, and suzu wants to kill her. At the start of the show, after the first D mail suzu hates Kurusu, but when we finally get back around to that point at the end, she doesn't hate kurusu and wants to save her. So in reality all Okabe did the entire show was put everyone in danger and kill his friends over and over and over again.

It makes me wonder if they will make another Steins Gate that goes into the world line where Mayuri dies, Okabe gives up on her and Cern gets the time machine creating a mind controlled dystopian future with them in control of everything. I've also heard that there are other alternative time lines in addition to these ones. If they make those, they might be in an OVA called something like Steins;Gate i where the "i" in this case is considered an "imaginary number." Or better yet Steins;Gate/0 (over zero) as that number is undefinable.
