He was a very first person I seen in concert in South Bend Indiana, early summer 1976 with Harvey Mandel and a local band called CrowHaven who I was very good friends with the lead guitarist who grew up down the road from me. I was a roadie for their band for that concert. Didn't actually get to meet Joe Cocker but i did do a lot of partying that night LOL
