For those who are also struggling to put in the inputs in such in short time window, I suggest to put the games speed on 1/4 so you have a easier time inputting the commands.
This was really good. There's a way to cheat the wavebounce input for neutral specials that LxZ mentioned in his guide. Essentially all you do is a RAR B-Reverse and you get the same outcome as if you did a wavebounce. Also, if your controller has stick snapback, these techniques will be very painful. It's pretty common with pro controllers, but even GCCs can be a pain too. If anyone has a major snapback problem, try using either silicone grease or dielectric grease on the stickbox.
This is still the best guide on these techniques I've seen. It really helps that you go over *every* directional move, even if it seems obvious, and that you say which incorrect execution does what. For anyone wondering on the frame data: for a turnaround B the B input must be within 11 frames of the stick input, and for a B-reverse the stick input must be within 4 frames of the B reverse
As someone who plays bayo and most of my other characters get just about nothing from wavebouncing, I personally don’t see the need or have the time to learn this. I pretty much always just will need a b reverse but I’m glad I watched the video cuz I didn’t know how to do a turnaround or a wavebounce. But great video I’m glad you made it and even tho I may not have much of a use of it
If I had to describe this video… I’m watching this like a native Spanish speaker learning correct grammar in a Spanish class for the first time. I’m learning more about shit I already knew
Nice guide! One thing on the Reverse Up B out of shield is that releasing shield before the input makes it a lot easier as you don't have to worry about roll misinputs
Awesome guide and breakdown. I’ve been working on my nair loops and bomb techniques, but I’ve been noticing you have some really good combos in general. Any good sillintor’s advanced bread and butter combos coming in near future 😎
The wavebounce is so difficult with neutral special though 😭 I’m getting the hang of it with side special but with neutral special it’s so hard because you have to reset the stick to neutral and you end up just doing a side b
Thanks dude really helps yours guide are easier to understand than the other guys. by the way anyone in the comments know a if I can turn-around Ike up B?
Kirby's City Trials is all i need to give the video a fat like Can i propose giving things a star rating for the future, just to avoid having to explain why you might want to avoid one tech if you cant even do the easier difficulty setups. Do you plan on doing character specific not related to link (Maybe Sheik) or just guides in the general relation of smash? my example being the laws of nature that is the platform. I've never seen a really in-depth explanation of platforms in smash and they are kinda odd at times, like newer players getting stuck on them frequently when trying to drop through and doing an aireal. Along the lines of other things like being able to (i have no idea what it would be called) but when you land on a platform you can instantly turn around as you fall through.
Ive been practicing using the C-stick method for a while now but I cant consistently get a side B wavebounce or B-reverse. It will always be one of those two, I am just trying to figure out what Im doing that causes one or the other.
I hate this so much. I only seem to be able to do everything except a neutral special wavebounce. Everytime I try I do a side b wavebounce instead a neutral special wavebounce. But before I couldn't do any of the wavebounces, thank you for your guide
you're very welcome and I'm glad it helped. Don't worry about it, the neutral special is the hardest in my opinion. For the other ones you can do fast motions while for neutral special you have to stop in between the turnaround and b-reverse and get the stick back to neutral. This feels not as natural as all other specials
I always seem neutral B instead of side B when i practice turnarounds. The timing seems super tight for the side B. Am i missing something to nail it consistently or do I have to just keep grinding it out? Thanks again for the vids
Oh, I didn't include sideb in the Turnarounds, because you automatically Turnaround by throwing the boomerang behind like with every character (except Terry who actually has a back special and forward special)
You do a wavebounce and afterwards cancel the chargeshot by pressing shield for an airdodge and then a to perform the zair, because shield + a = grab/zair. But that timing is like ultra precise and it took me several tries to do it even without the wavebounce and just charge + zair.
You right but campers would rather projectile spam a mile away while link cant be a trap character if the opponent is a mile away. Chasing to some degree i shouldve said. Maybe im wrong but i notice i catch jumps with fair, catch people pressing foward with dash back side tilt, catch them chasing from below with throw down bomb, catching jumps with up tilt which is really good. I just notice link being an actual trap character with his moves. Someone approaches? His moves are good for catching them in neutral. But thats only the best way i seem to use him. Hes not much of a neutral character
If anyone is interested in some cool magnet shmoves I recommend watching Hikasan Hikasan in yt. He plays Ness, Young Link, Terry, Marth and he does the most flashy moves I've ever seen with each character.
Lmao that wavebounce part had me rewind instantly

The wavebounce tip about always doing the the opposite of which way they face was genius. Never heard it before but I'll be sure to pass it on

UA-cam comments: did you get a hair cut?
Good Video!
With these techniques you can pull off so fancy movement
Control guide was suuuper helpful. I had been trying to WB by inputting the directions in the wrong order. Thanks for the guide!

Finally I found someone who gives a really good explanation!
Thank you so much for this guide , I'm definitely going to benefit! Keep up the great content 🤜🤛
I somehow just forgot how to do B reverses (likely due to me not playing for a while) and this helped a lot. Thanks!
Thank you.. seriously make more guides in general!
@sillinator Man I love your content. You break down gameplay like a boss! ❤
There's the sexy voice 🔥🔥🔥
noticed that too!!
I’ve been trying to get good at this tech so thanks a bunch for the guide!! Time to lab
Thanks for the guide silintor, it's always sick when you upload

Do you have more tutorials? Just watched like 5 videos and I'm super impressed ! Combo tutorials please!
Having some trouble achieving the turnaround side b (boomerang changing direction AND drift)

You can
@@amberd0g6 yea I know now just tested it its really easy too
I can do a turn around special and a B reverse special, but I can't wave special😢
when i try to turn my character around, ijust fly backwards?

Hi nice guide i want to asked you does terry have wave bounce with side b or down b

Don’t you think it’s a little late to be released simple technique guides ab 2 years into the game.
It's never too late for a guide if it can help out players and it was a highly suggested topic as well. New players can come any time.
