Dude's a GENIUS! 🤯 Unbelievable!! 🔥🔥🔥 Videos like this make me a little sad because they show that there are brilliant engineers in the world who would love to innovate in this space and offer us a plethora of new experiences we're not even aware that want, but that one company filed for a patent and we're all missing out on the innovation and creativity just because they "called shotgun" 😕
It was such an eye opening experience to see how much innovation you can put into this one-wheel board! Took only one year vs 8+ of fm.. 🥴 Truly is kinda sad, but at the same time an opportunity cuz the patent fighting of fm leads to a spark of ingenuity from the passionate developers. With our movement getting stronger, they will shoot themselves in the foot even more by trying to shut down legit competition.
The controller is the most critical. Then you download the vesc software and app. If you're in the US, you can get the controller preassembled or self assembly here: www.makerspev.com/collections/bundles?aff=3 If you have xr all you need to do is swap out the controller and plug n play! Whats the top speed on your onewheel i just built one 600 watt 60 volt motor. I'm only getting speeds of 10 mile per hour. Don't know if its a bad tune or thats all this motor give.
speed will mostly depend on the battery voltage and pcb amp capability. for this 63V board it was around 16-18mph. For my 84V board it's around 32-35mph.

the VESC based controller platform is completely different and separate from Future Motion's Onewheel. It's like Android vs Apple. VESC is open source software and fully supports the right to repair :) hope you can join one day!
