Wow!!!!! I'm AMAZED that this game is 4.5!!!! I must play against men’s doubles far too often, or my Duper score would be higher. I played in a ladder league for four months last winter with 13 men and two women. Didn’t really do much for my DUPR score.
I'm pretty sure that is a Franklin paddle. Franklin does not make the best pickleball paddles. If you're thinking about buying one, I would go with something else. Thanks for watching.
I don't think this would be a 4.5 level tournament game here in Minnesota, at least not where I usually play; roughly 3.75 play IMO - 4.0 at times from some of the players. Fun to watch though. Kind of a bummer ending :(
These ladies would have done much better if they had been following your channel and watching your previous videos. Good players, they need to work on their third shot drops and transition game. Your analysis was on point’ I saw the same things you are saw
I thought the woman with the pink skirt was the best but she didnt get as many touches. The orange/black shirt woman on the far court gave near court so many pop ups. Lady in black is tall but she really didnt reach into kitchen to take balls out of air, balls were given to her at waist high and above. I wonder if a more control oriented paddle would decrease the popups? Plus learning to do the colin johns sidestep so she doesn't get chicken winged so often would help.
Not sure how skill rating works across states but here in California I am sure these ladies would be playing a 3.5 or 4.0 tournament. I thought the ladies played very well but needs to improve T hitting the ball low and improve following each other on the court
I agree but I've noticed across the country that the skill levels vary a lot based on the tournament rankings I've seen. I wish they had a better way to measure skill levels but it seems like for now we just have to realize that skill levels depend on the region you are playing in, and maybe even the specific part of town you are in.

The woman in white needs to stop dropping to the lady in orange’s forehand. She needs to be dropping and driving more to the backhand of the lady in orange in the far court. That way, she would be hitting to her weaker side!
@@pickleballpick-apart9787 Yeah. It's Florida which should be make for a stronger 4.5 rather than a weaker one so playing up is a pretty good take. I also notice mostly that team Hanlon ratings seem a bit inflated. At least that used to be my take and this video seems to support it.
The woman in blue with pink flower skirt bent her knees but she’s, in the words of Ben Johns, too wristy. She needs to use her shoulder like a pendulum and she’d be able to preform better at the kitchen line.
Time for you to put up a video of yourself playing Rory!
😊
Soon!

I think the rating system is flawed.
4.B.9.b. If a player/position error is identified after the rally has played out, the rally shall stand.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Feels like a 3.5 game with the exception of the lady in the black.
Some players chose to play up in tournaments. That may be the situation in this case.
Nice play! Can you tell why kind of paddle the tall girl in black is using?

Yes. The winning team was even not happy with it. Thanks for watching.

Good points. Is that a Franklin paddle she is playing with?
@@pickleballpick-apart9787 I think it's an older Ben Johns signature Franklin. My friend has one and it looks exactly the same
Women's Mixed Doubles Game?
Oops! I'm getting old. Thanks for pointing out. I'll fix it.
Not to be annoying, but this is Women's 😊

4.5??? I don't think so! Look at the lady in black - she always takes a few steps onto the court after the serve!
Thanks for pointing that out. Yes, she is cheating into the court. Thanks for watching.

@@pickleballpick-apart9787 We call that "Creepin" and a good player will return the ball deep.
😅Rory, i dont know about the rating but i dont think you give the women in the far court enough credit.
I might have missed something you're seeing. Thanks for your opinion.
not 4.5 players. More 3.5
Thanks for watching and thanks for your opinion.
That would be 3.5 in california.
Play in California is outstanding.
Must of been 2023 game. 2024 rules the ref is supposed to correct positioning errors
It was from 2023. Thanks for pointing that out. I was not aware it had changed.

I don't get this rating. Where I play these ladies would be decent, but not the strongest 3.5 players.
I'm thinking players can play up in an APP tournament if they choose to do so. Thanks for watching.
