- In this video I critique a 4.5 mixed doubles pickleball match. I point out what the players did right, and what they did wrong. You can watch this video and learn how to play most effectively so you can be the best pickleball player you can possibly be.
Not sure when Rory started to show and analyze the games but I came in around April of 2024 so I'm picking games at random and simply watching, listening, taking in Rory's comments and using them for my game. I'm in the 2.5-3.0 having starting playing end of February. So much to take in but totally enjoyable to watch.
That's awesome! I really appreciate you watching. Good luck on your pickleball journey.
There is an excellent teaching point regarding the rules that could be made at 16:07. You might think that the point was over when the ball landed on the court, outside the lines. The point was actually over before the ball landed on the court surface. The point was over at 16:07, before the ball landed on the court surface, because the ball hit the net post, which is considered out of bounds. See rule 17G. So, even if the ball had somehow landed within the lines after hitting the net post, the rally would still have been won by the older couple, because the point was already over when the ball hit the net post.
Thanks for watching and thanks for pointing that out.
This is a great concept for a UA-cam channel, Rory! I have been looking for analysis of pickleball games with players in the 3.0 to 5.0 range and your channel seems to be focused on this. I like the stop action, commentary, and replay. I'm going to keep watching for sure.
Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to write. I appreciate you watching and subscribing.
Your rating on skill level is spot on.
Thank you!
Great break down as always.
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching.
My fiance “ I really like this guy doing commentary”
Haha! Thanks for watching.
They look more like 2.5 than 4.5.
3.0, perhaps?
3.0 at best I’d say
I think mixed 4.5 meaning combined rating, so probably both players are around 2.5
Agree with your assessment, not 4.5 by any means. The point toward the end should have been called dead as soon as the atp ball from the purple guy hit the post.
Thanks for pointing that out and thanks for watching.
No way is this 4.5 level. If it is I’m 7.5! 😂
I'll look for you at the PPA tournament in Dallas this weekend. LOL!
So I’m one serve in and I see 3.0 play at best by both sides. I’ll keep watching but a terrible start for both sides.
2nd point was exactly the same. Very shallow return. High balls follow. Terrible put away into the net. I think this episode is over.
I've gotcha! Thanks for watching.
Me too.
Right off the bat... 3.5? 3.0
Maybe so. Thanks for your opinion.
Too Many errors to be 4.5's....not enough drops too
Thanks for watching. I agree.
Is it error or era?
Thanks for pointing that out. You're not the first one. I have worked on it and videos after this one I do believe I say it correctly.
It’s an accent
@@pickleballpick-apart9787 pronunciation pick apart eh, we now what he means, how picky
4.5 but the leftie- rightie team doesn't stack? Hmm.
They do not. Not all higher level teams do. I do believe there is an advantage to stacking when one player is right-handed in one player is left-handed player. Thanks for watching.
3.0 players. Maybe 3.5.
Thanks for watching and thanks for rating.
3.5 at best. Weak serves, returns, etc. I couldn't watch more than 9 min. and never saw a dinking or volley war, roll volley etc. I'm being generous at 3.5.
I think you are correct. Thanks for watching.
This is not 4.5😂
The people who posted a claim it is. Thanks for watching.
I would like something less verbose.
I understand. Thanks for watching.
That's what a pick apart does.
@@johncraig7548 Haha! Thanks for watching.
3.0s
Thanks for watching. I'm not the one who rated them!
