@@MotoCheez I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing, but just in case, and forgive me if this isn't relevant. If you remove the seat, there's a black and white wire connected by a tiny plug. If you unplug that, and put the seat back on, the removes any lock on the upper speed. Hi MC... Kinda reminds me of my old 20" banana bike from way back, I like the design. As far as the front fender, it is common for that to be 2-piece with one faced forward and the other backward with a bracket in between. With the high power demand of both lighting & motor it is a shame that it is 48 vs. 52 volts which would extend the range. This bikes strong suit is it's night & off road capabilities. Thanks for the review.

It's a bit more like a real motorcycle tyre , I threw in some green 20in tyre liners too because these bikes are pretty much unpushable with a flat because the balloon tyres squish to nothing, come straight off the bead and the rim bangs on the road. I’d upgrade that battery asap. 12.8 amp hours just isn’t enough range at all. That’s at most 10-15 miles of range on throttle. To maybe 20-25 on pedal assist on the lower levels. The bike seems heavy. So the lower levels of pedal assist won’t help much especially on climbs. So we’re back to around 15 miles of range on the high end. At minimum. An ebike really needs 20 amp hours as standard. That’s about 30 miles of range using throttle or 40ish miles with pedal assist. 32 amp hours is the dream. Between 60-70 miles of full throttle. 80-90 miles on a medium pedal assist. Everything else on the bike looks solid!

Curious how does it compare to a 26" fat tire for on-road and off-road riding? 3. It pedals pretty decent, just like any other e-bike with fat tires slightly noticeable from the larger tires but really not much. The ride is better than the folding e-bikes I've tested mainly because the seat feels more comfortable to me, the length and height I did not get I had another person ask the same questions You are and I did not get a chance to get those measurements. The way I have no way of determining but I believe it's around 70 lb because it is lighter than the HOVALFA that I have down here

Looks like you have a Hailong 1-2 battery if you wish to upgrade to a larger or a 52v. I have the same battery type I went with an Acepower 52v, 15 amp on my 500w commuter and it makes a huge difference. I also have the same display, a G51. To get into the settings hit plus and minus to get into the "P" modes. Some interesting ones.."P01" is backlit brightness. "P02" is miles or kms. Change to 1 for miles. "P08" is max speed. Probably maxed out but you can check, note it's in kilometers. 50 kms/hr is around 30mph. For cruise just hit the throttle to where you want it and hold down the minus button for 3 seconds. You'll see a speedometer looking icon on the display. I love this. I hate f$cking autocruise. My friend has it on his bike. It's dangerous as all hell. Imagine driving a motorcycle with a sticky throttle. That's autocruise.

@@MotoCheez I like it because it's simple so if anything goes wrong or you want to upgrade something it's a no brainer. Nowadays we have ebikes with integrated batteries and displays, etc. What happens if the battery goes tits up? Are they even going to sell that battery anymore? Will the company be even around? You get about 3 years average on a Li-ion battery before it goes to 80% capacity. What if you want a new one? Or a bigger one? Or one with a higher voltage? Being a computer tech I like open source standards so if something needs replacing you can do it cheaply and easily. Not have to hire Japanese swordsmiths to forge you a new battery case and an MIT electronics engineer to wire up the cells. I would highly recommend getting a 52v battery for this bike though. Sure you get a little more speed, power and range. But the real advantage is way lower voltage sag as you got another 4 volts on tap. You'll keep higher speed for longer. That display will do 52v, it's only for the battery bars and low voltage cutoff anyway. It a relatively cheap upgrade with the most bang for your buck. Also for some extra braking power get some cable actuated hydraulic calipers from Xtech/Zoom, I got a pair for $58 Canadian and it improved the braking by at least 30-50% over just the mechanical calipers. It's just a straight replacement of the mechanical calipers, took me 10 minutes a brake to put on and adjust. I'm sure with real brake pads it will be even better I'm just using the organic pads it came with I'm sure some nice sintered metal/orgranic hybrid pads would really do wonders, get close to a full hydraulic system.

@@MotoCheez If you want I could scan the manual I got with my unlocked display I ordered from China if you want to see all the settings. Or download a copy it's a "G51". They are all sort of the same. I could put it on my tech channel if you like or just type it out here. Whatever you wish. That slow start setting is the initial power setting when you power on the bike. "0" is zero assist. 1 is PAS 1 on startup. I like having it on 1 PAS at startup so if I jump on the bike and forget to turn up the PAS level at least I am moving at 10mph instead of sitting there wondering what is going on and have no power. The auto cruise feature is controller controlled. If the controller doesn't have it then it won't work. To engage cruise control just hit the "-" minus button while on throttle. You'll see the walk icon briefly flash for half a second then a speedometer looking icon will show up. Tapping a brake will cut cruise control.

Anyway, the 12.5 ah battery and 10-mile range is a dealbreaker; imagine being stranded 10 miles or even 5 from home trying to pedal that thing? My Ebike is 78lbs (with a 21ah battery) and there's no way I'd be pedaling that thing. I typically take a 15 mile round trip when I do ride, and 10 miles just doesn't cut it. Check if your brakes are dragging, and also check the buttons, I believe the eco button in and turbo button out is fastest

As of November 24th 2023 this bike was $728 with an 18% off coupon on Amazon this in my opinion is one of the best deals out there I know it has mechanical brakes I know I have some smaller things that are not as ideal as some other bikes in this area but for 700 bucks instead of $1,200 or $1,600 that's amazing
