I really don't andersteand how it's possible that very stupid videos have milions of views and this one less than 10000. This is amazing.Genius. Inspiring. Extremely skillfull. It's just...WOW. It never gets boring, not even after 3 years of constant listening..
God created few geniuses, and not so many people who even have the ability to appreciate them and their work. Doesn't reflect so well on the human race, does it?
Yes. Everytime when I want to hear this piece, I revisit back this video and listen again & again😊 It has a magnet attracting my soul to want to listen again & again. Never bored. She's a genius!! TQ for post this up❤❤
I have heard her play several transcriptions, all of them masterfully done. she is nothing short of miraculous. little autobiographical info about her-I read in a post that she has become a nun. but, wow!!! technique, skill, musicianship-all of them here. just phenomenal.
Mi favourite piece from Bach. It sounded perfect here. Didn't miss the organ at all. You can say to her this was amazing. Those applauding her were lazy. That was not enough for her performance.
It was just a group of mainly American matrons at the Geneval Harp Congress in2002. The President was constantly up and down saying hello to her friends during the performance. I was there and hated them. They only look out for their own and were not very happy to see a "Russian" play so well
Who do mean by "Americans?" America includes all countries from Canada down thru the USA, then the Central American countries, then all of the South American lands from Venezuela through Chile.
How can a harp sound like a pipe organ? Well it can't really, but this is so close that in some ways I prefer it! Now I know how the classic image of an angel floating on a cloud sounds like.
They dont call classical music 'elitist' for nothing you know ;) .. well, I dont care ;) .. although I'm very happy to be *able* to enjoy highest forms of art. The one that requires more than just a pair of ear or eyes to understand.

Thank you ❗🗝️❤️ Varvara Ivanova ❗
This is amazing! I am a harpist whose son has played this on the organ, and both of us were totally impressed with this performance.
Incredible! A real pleasure to listen to.
BRAVISSIMA !!!!!
Indeed!
Musicality out of this world
First listened to this 9 years ago
Still impressed...
Breathtaking voice leading
Best Toccata and Fugue performace ever. Any instrument.
Could be. Hard
to conceive of a
finer performance.
@@miltonmoore5294 Not only is this a very fine performance, it also has a huge amount of (for lack of better words) balls :)
There are no words to describe her playing! So sincere and pure music!without egoism and extrovertation!
A heavenly voice !
The beautiful music enriches our lives so much!

She quit the harp to become a nun. I heard that when she misses a note during a performance, her mother would make her practice right after that.
That was beyond amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRAVA!!!!!!!!!
A stunning playing!
Genius.
Pure mastery!

What an incredible talent, the audience could not have been very astute. The interpretation is spot on...
Bravo, this is absolutely great...
Thank you, Gleb

Whose transcription is this? Powerful stuff. The acoustics really help too. Brilliant!

Ah! Arpa!! No davvero, ragazzi, arpa... Ma com'è possibile?!?

How old is she?
+rebecca kwok I think 85 or something now
+rebecca kwok She was apparently born in 1987... so would have been 14 or 15 in this video.
+bones1343 how the heck? 😂 if she'd be 85 now the video couldn't exist

+bones1343 well you seemed to
Quite decent . . . (Just call me a master of understatement)!
2009. Audio recording by potato.
Very Sadly, she has given up the harp and has become a nun.
Nuns can play instruments too though
It makes sense cause no such soul wants to have anything to do with this world.
