I started youtube as a hobby because I loved it. I worked full time and went to school part time while uploading as well. The way I see it if your hearts in it than it will be more than worth it in the future both financially and mentally. As small creators making a living off of UA-cam is not easy, it is down the line that the money comes. Do what you have to for your fam, upload when yah can!
I feel you bro. My son has a UA-cam channel as well (mostly hunting, some fishing ), and is following a similar path with the “real job”. He is exploring some other options as well. I hope it works out for you both.
Wish you was still doing fishing tours man I would definitely pay for the experience let me know if you got free time to make some extra $$ I love your channel bro can’t wait to see you back in the water
Hi Jake I hope your doing good, I hope to see more of your videos soon. Your videos got me fishing again after 30+ years, and I caught my first rainbow trout using the drop shot method you recommended. Thank you!
@petehernandez9104 I’m so glad you got back into fishing. Nice Job on getting your first rainbow trout! I hope to get back to making videos too. I’ve had a lot of life changes over the last few months including a career change and a move, so things have been pretty crazy. Thanks for the kind comment people like you are the very reason I started the Channel.
Well said Randy.. my thoughts exactly! Though I'm a recent addition to you channel, one of my friends shared one of your videos, I will admit, I haven't seen all of your content yet, it's refreshing to see someone post content about our local bodies of water. I agree with Randy in that those who found your channel, will watch whatever or however much you can provide us with.. power to you and Godspeed brother!! 🤜🤛💪💪💪🍻 cheers and tight lines!! 🙏🙏🙏
A "real job" is a must if you're the head of a family. Weekends, mornings, and evenings are still available for planning fishing trips. I haven't uploaded in a whole year, but I've documented every fishing trip. The videos will come out at some point. I'm pretty busy working too, but we all got to do the best we can.
This is so weird. Not less than 15 minutes before this video was uploaded, I went to your channel wondering if you had posted anything because I hadn't seen a video in quite some time. Glad to see your back Jake.
My goal is to get a license, catch my first fish that is a correct weight for its species, and then kill it, and gut it, and eat it. With minimal damage to myself. I envision myself standing on a dock. Murdering a worm or nightcrawler, slowly. I found your channel from the fruit, veggies, fish diet video. Wild rice and buckwheat could be good for you, or soak those whole grains with a little kefir for 8 hours before you cook them. Anyway, you’re fun to watch. Happy adulting and happy outdoorsing!
Priority first which everyone know is family always and whatever direction you take your channel ill support it, I subscribed because of the heart felt content and your one of the guys and your honesty is highly appreciated thnxs Jake,
Man it is so good to see you back on your page. You are right family is more important. You are not one of my favorite UA-camrs. Can’t wait for new fishing videos, keep them coming when you can.
It's great to have you back. I have a question for you. I took your fish and float in the summer(Sept). You did a great job and I would highly recommend it. I was able to catch fish consistently after that but it looks like what I learned doesn't work in the winter. What do I need to do differently in the winter to catch fish?
@James Connor yes things do change in the different seasons. You don’t have to do the float and fish again to learn what is working now, I have a cheaper option on my consult with me page. You can see the different options at this link including the virtual guide that breaks down the whole river. hi.volley.app/consult?tk=fICx2EXj4VLcJ4ku3ApKkw-tk
@@JamesConnor-ue5kv I responded to your email, did you not get it? Everything takes place in the Volley app. It’s like a video consultation back and forth. Let me know if you have problems viewing the videos in the Volley app.
Jake you’re my favorite fishing channel. You show techniques of casting and retreating. You show what catches best in certain locations. And you catch fish by the boat load. I love your channel and I’m so glad you’re not bagging it all together. Keep up the good work. C Hoyt
I'm heading out to the salt river tomorrow. How about more videos on trout fishing? catch and cooks? Not every video has to have a tight structure. I'm sure we will watch whatever you put out. Thanks for the update. Praying for you, brother.
Hey buddy...I remember subscribing because (Bass Raider search words), I also have a Tiny Boat, and am into kayaks also. Aside from that my gut tells me that I like G.O.A.L., but that putting your name out front might give you more street-cred. IMO you're selling and idea, and no-one knows who you are, or associates a name with your ideals. LOTS of competition by people with tournament experience; I honestly am more likely to click on a new channel if it has a name. BTW, I gave up my YT channel aspirations once I mapped out how much work was involved. More power to ya, good luck!
Good to see you post Jake. Love your videos and truly appreciate the effort you've put in. I'd love to see you make a real go at this. I think going beyond the AZ fishing community and doing more than just posting fishing outtings is the only way to scale it up. Cheers!
@Ray Hemmele thanks for the support and for the feedback. I have had similar thoughts but am still working on how I will break out of the local AZ Market
Thanks!
Why not weekend fish vids?
I hope you're doing well and still getting out and living! I miss the videos, they were always fun to watch.

When are we gonna see ya on the Salt again?
The float and fish link didn’t work! I’d love to go out and I’d even be willing to pick up you and your kayak for some lessons!
The guide link doesn’t seem to be working at the momment is there way to still. Access it
As a young man, you must provide for your family first. When you you can, we'll be watching.
God bless.

Hey man! Just got set up to do some fishing out here! I’m fishing from the shore, but if you’re ever looking for some company let me know!
Yo dude I’m down to book a fishing trip with you for bass in August let me know if your available

@@JamesConnor-ue5kv since you are mostly interested in the lower section of the river, you’d be fine with just the consult
