How does the videographer get such a wide depth of field for such magnified macro shots without cranking the aperture to f/30 or higher. Also how do he/she maintain such perfect focus on the moving creatures and stay locked on because it's almost like looking through a small microscope. I have a 1:1 macro lens but it could not come close to these videos close up and tracking the moving insects. I would love to know in more detail like behind the scenes like the type of lens and the technical terms for photographers. Amazing videos. Thanks!

Imagine if you where a baby dragonfly and all your friend get out of the pond in like 3 months and you just sit there for years and they always make fun of you like, «You still rely on your cradle?»

I am happy that you made a video of Dragonflies! Before me, I had a baby brother (Which is not a baby now :-), He's about 16 now?) Who died of disease carried by a mosquito, He could've lived IN the hospital if my Mom didn't let go. But she saw how he was suffering and didn't want to see it anymore, So she spent his last hours at home. At his burial, It was fall when we buried him. Weirdly enough, Dragonflies we're all over his coffin. My Dad shoo-ed them away but we have a suspicion that whenever we see just a unusually small dragonfly, We think it's him visiting us every now and then. :)
Thanks if you read this whole thing. :O

I once read a book on my back porch one evening and a dragonfly perched on the corner of my book and shuffled over to the next page every time i needed to turn to the next page, it also would occasionally fly over to my pool and pick at the drowned bugs on the surface and come back to the same spot! They're my favorite bugs

When I was a kid, I had those bug-catcher kits. The ones with the 'butterfly' net and little plastic 'cage'. And I would catch Dragonflies, and Grasshoppers/Locusts and such, and I would let them bite me as well. I was fascinated by how similar their mouths were. They both had like 4 different 'lips', kind of like a + mark. And the Grasshoppers/Locusts would secrete this brown fluid that smelled weird. And I would put leaves in their mouth, and watch how that brown fluid would help break it down, but how the fluid had no impact on my skin as it did with the leaves. It was really interesting to me.
I would also catch spiders, and I would put a piece of cardboard down the middle of the bug catcher cage. Then I would take the cardboard out, and watch the spiders fight each other. A lot of the times they didn't fight though, surprisingly. And then whenever any bug I had died, I would put them in this Barbie Doll Mansion house I had, and I would trace their bodies with marker/sharpie, and write down their name under it. That doll house looked like a crime scene, with a lot of murders haha. But I was more of a TomBoy, and didn't play with my dolls, I would just destroy them, and would play with bugs instead. Haha.
