Totally agree. The US is a very toxic place currently and it’s sad. There are so many positive things and people out there and negativity is getting a lot of attention. I don’t like it but it’s the nature of today’s society. Wish things were different. Stay positive people

the people watching hustler are fans of poker with varying levels of skill. and most want to play, just can’t. the negativity has to to be vocal minority.

Love the end! Life shouldn’t be negative but so many people want to see other people fail. You my sir are an amazing poker player and most importantly an amazing human. You should post that clip or a clip like that in the beginning or middle of one of your videos so people don’t miss it. Positivity is key!

Your last 3 sessions at HCL were brutal. A few observations. Better players now playing. Less whales. Your play is being studied by your opponents and perhaps becoming too predictable? Variance is a big part of poker. Like you stated the sun running is over for now but hopefully it will start up again. Time now to collect your thoughts, refocus, and study. Like the message about the negative talk about HCL, we should be so lucky that we get to see constant high level poker being played consistently. People just taking that for granted. Watching HCL and all you great player has vastly improved my thinking process and gameplay. So deff appreciative of all you guys on HCL and always looking forward to watch your vlogs and get your thinking process behind hands. Keep the good work Mariano. You are my favorite poker player. I mostly play $3/$7 at poker club in Beijing and tried $7/$15 games sometimes. The bad runs really broght a lot nagetivies espially in the bigger games. But that is poker and have to deal with it emotionly. Hope you run better in the future games. And still remember your AA vs 2 KK hand LOL.
Stay positive. You do a great job. I would bet over 50%, maybe even 75% do not reside in the comment section on the streams. I always have mine off for the reason you stated. Ignore the noise if you will.

Go in lower stakes if u are in a downswing? That way when u get coolered or bad beated, it hurts less. Then go back up later. Idk, i used to do that.

The trolls is mostly due to people who are envious of the players... as prob only 1% of the folks can buy into a $100K+ game two or three nights a week. I'll admit I can't play at that level, and also to saying a few not very constructive comments (not on HCL), but it's really due to just annoying player behavior, or the poker room background is darker than a dungeon, and if someone is wearing black, they look like a floating head.

In a hand you lost to Jungleman $148k, you played very bad bc you were so greedy ad read wrong, should've checked after flush on board. Andy had a chance to take all your chips in second best Q high flush but he checked on river.
Sorry to hear it. Hang in there and don't let it bleed into the rest of your life. Maybe take a small break, not because you are playing bad, but just because everyone can use a break when things are rough.
To your point at the end of the video - I'm not sure why the poker community is so toxic sometimes. It seems like the space is filled with many egotistical, bitter players who love to give advice/bombard players for making certain plays. (which aren't even bad sometimes) I would imagine people who watch the high stakes videos invest a lot of time into poker but not in improvement-type videos, which leaves them bitter or dislike sunrunners because they equate their failures in poker to luck and project that disdain onto the personalities in the game? Would love to have some insight into this. I think the vlog comment section is much more positive (obviously) since we are all gathered around a personality + probably have less investment in poker overall so less ego.
Maybe I'm later here. But mariano still the best.
