Farewell Tribute to Rev. Cary Stockett,

To my beloved congregation,
I hardly know where to begin. Mechelle and I are so grateful for the letters, cards, and messages, and also for the many gifts. You have been so very thoughtful and generous. Our reception was deeply moving, and it meant the world to us that you also hosted so many folks from our previous churches who came to share our joy. Bless you for that!
And what can I even say about the honor of being made Senior Pastor Emeritus… I was floored! To each and every one of you, I thank you. You have blessed me, and it has been a rare privilege to serve such a wonderful church. Bless you all for your multiple expressions of kindness and support as we enter this new stage in our lives.
Mechelle and I will continue to live in our home here in Jackson, and we plan to continue our relationships with our Galloway friends along other lines besides the church. So, this is not just a good-bye…it’s also, “See you around!”
