Honestly Nico’s my favorite character on the show. I love her character, and her fight scenes are fire af! And the staff is awesome! Nico is such a compelling character to watch. That’s why it makes me sad that she gets hate.

Chhewie Nico is powerful, but also severely limited. To use her staff, the energy also has to come from within. U saw in season 2 where she struggled to maintain the shielding spell she cast on their bunker home and she eventually used up all of her energy and down the shield went. Also, she is essentially powerless without the staff. She can’t do any magic without it. However, she does come form a long line of witches/sorceresses so she does have innate magical power in her which she then learned how to access in the series finale in the 3 year time jump, but even with her new found prowess in the time jump, she hasn’t reached Dr Strange, Odin, Loki or even MCU Scarlet witch yet in power. Thanos would destroy her without her staff. And lastly, the staff of one itself is a limitation. She can only use one spell one time and that’s it. She can’t say “burn” twice or “freeze” twice, so her powers are limited by her own knowledge of synonyms. For instance, if Nico wanted fire, she would simply say “burn”. Now if she wanted fire again, she can’t say “burn” again Bc she used that incantation already. Now she is limited to all the synonyms of burn in that regard such as fire, ignite, flame, blaze, combust, etc.

Even with her innate magical abilities that she had in the erased timeline/time jump, she is not on par with Loki, Strange, or Wanda (two of witch solo'd Thanos). Funny that u mentioned this, comic con just revealed that Nico is gonna appear in that Spiderman animated prequel show as Peter’s best friend, probability from the content shows it could be an else world story but the fact that the studio is acknowledging these characters is a good sign
It was an excuse. Tina wanted to protect Nico from the origins of the staff (because Nico is still vulnerable), though she knew that one day, Nico will inherit the Staff.
I wouldn’t say it was the best season in my opinion, the final battle was somewhat underwhelming, Tandy and Tyrone only showed up for one episode, Nico made dumb decisions and lots of things got retconned here and there
i loved this but the only thing that pissed me off that originally in season one they tried to make the staff seem so technological then they switched to it being witchcraft. idek why they tried to go that route in the first season it was dumb.
