Nice job on the re-seasoning! I really like my Wagners, so nice and smooth. I may have misunderstood what you meant, but for the benefit of newbies, a vintage # 8 skillet, measured at the rim, is 10+ inches wide. All my #8 are 10+ inches wide, where-as a #10 would be approx. 12 inches wide, rim to rim. Also, so, the # does not refer to the size of the actual cooking surface. My favorite little Wagner skillet is labeled # 5 on the top side of the handle, and labeled “8 inch skillet” on the bottom side, even though the actual cooking surface is only 6+ inches wide. My 1940s-50s Lodge #6 is 9+ inches rim to rim and 7+ inches on the cooking surface. The # corresponds to the size of the “eyes” of the old wood-burning stoves, not the measurement of the skillet rim to rim, or cooking surface. Some of the modern day boutique cast iron is being labeled by overall inches - can be a bit confusing for folks.

Here's a tip for anyone doing this process: When you apply the oil to a hot pan, hold the rag with a pair of tongs to keep from burning yourself. Had to learn that one the hard way.

You will no doubt get to 5k very soon and then some. Your channel is awesome, but I have to say yours and many other channels I subscribe to have not been showing up in my YT feed nor do I get nearly as many notifications as past. This is a beautiful pan! 🍳 Good job restoring it to it's beauty.

Congrats on getting close to 5k Subscribers. Hope you hit it soon. Pan is looking great. How is the power supply doing after changing the cables? I definitely need to get one of those things you have on the bottom of the sink. I scrub pans and then have to scrub sink LOL
