Pixies are an excellent alternative music band that influenced many bands that were commercially successful from late 1991 onwards. Kurt Cobain confessed that he was inspired by this cult alternative rock band for some hits from some of his grunge group Nirvana. My great admiration for Pixies and their alternative rock music, and their influence on other artists in the nineties to the present day, leaves me speechless because they are not enough to praise a great band like them. Congratulations on your excellent record work and your concerts! I have the Doolittle album in CD format with great pride! You guys are true pioneers of alternative music!

woww ... i was 24 ... in this TIME - time goes by .. but Music .. let some Moments rewaken ..
The more I listen to this band, the more I like'em...
The pixies where the music in the movie, my teen age years, so intens en wunderfull
Still give's me energy and strenght
Grew up listening to this band as a teenager in Greece and this track still gives me chills. Starts out soft and then becomes explosive and hard. It is amazing!
Has anyone ever noticed the eerie comparison of Black Francis' voice and Lou Reed's voice? It's only taken me 54 years to make a connection.
I had no idea this was the Pixies. Let me tell you a story:
My mum always used to sing this to me when I was younger. She doesn't do it much now,and I really loved it when she sung it.
A few years later...
I found the Pixies via 'where is my mind?' And, through a three am music session (now) I find this, and find out it's by one of my favourite bands. Small world, eh?
Again, it's three in the morning, so sorry for the bad English
better than some actual English people

I f'n love this band! The Pixies are their own genre with their own sound that nobody can touch!
Oh, the song about an underwater guy, who controlled the sea. My favourite one !
Heart and soul. Especially today. Tuesday morning is brighter 🌄. I'm not taking drugs, but feeling this x
One word UNDERRATED
I was late to the party with the pixies being British I was too busy with other stuff but after fight club I was hooked that lead singer can shout lyrics so good my favourite American band easily
You guys are true pioneers of alternative music!
found a piece of paper from 25 ish year ago that i wrote "i am bored" over and over. somewhere between those "i am bored"s, i found "this hunky's gone to heaven" hidden and come here. i totally forgot this song until now. its great to receive messages from your teenage self.
I read the word monkey on a wall when I was walking this fine evening and I thought "this monkeys gone to heaven" and well here I am thinking about "monkeys" going to "heaven" (aka eating a delicious banana and loving it so much!) Hahaha the fun we have in this world. :) 👍

my girlfriend came back home one day 30 yrs ago and said: Hey. I´ve got this new record of this new band "Dolittle". I instantly loved it, also had a massive crush on Kim instantly after hearing her voice for the first time. girlfriend is long time gone, but I still love Kims voice
Foundational classic of alternative music
1:02 i love this part
That’s such a lovely story 😊 I’m glad you have such a great band to remember him by.
1:50 Kim is saying: "These guys aren't rockers at all" 😂😂
They don't look it, but they sure sound it!
Love them forever.. Saw them in Bordeaux France on Tromp Le Monde and had all the guys screaming "I love you Kim" get well Kim.
