She has a point, those boards are really easy to break but if you slow it down, the first strike the camera clearly cuts as the board breaks, kinda skipping the actual hit. The one with her using her head, she very obviously doesn't even touch that thing. Slowing down the video makes that even more clear.

Hey don't get me wrong, the lessons I've learned as a fighter have been perfect for self defense (or in some of my cases, defending someone else,) fair fights are easy for me, but if my hypothetical opponent is standing there with a swiss army knife, I'm not running at him unless I've got one of my own.

It depends on how long the cloth is, you could twist it up and whip the knife out of the attackers hand, and then just keep whipping them.
