I would definitely recommend to learn the Danish language or show at least dedication, the Danes will give it back to you in another welcoming way. Can just speak out of my own perspective. I would have never learned so much native Danish people if i didn't learn the language. It just results in a lot of positive ways, you understand more what people speak next to you, get work, get friends, get advantages.
Keep going, great video, encourage people to learn danish.

Thank you :) Hope we will succeed. What is your opinion about expats that do not make an effort to learn the language?

Awesome work that you guys are doing. Initially I wasn't aware that you guys were also from other countries outside of Denmark, so you understand a bit more about the struggles of moving and adapting to a new place. Super helpful information as always, thanks guys.

I think it has more to do with the local culture itself, being very private people, than with the language itself. I come from a town that is considered of "german heritage" and later on I moved to a big city in another region. When I came back to that initial region again I couldn't relate to people there anymore, I literally felt like an immigrant in another country, the feeling was exactly the same. I guess people from these kinds of cultures will hang out their entire lives with the same exact people they went to school and graduated with, know what I mean? It's very weird in my opinion.
My priority is not living in big metropolitan areas, but in my experience I feel like these major cities compensate for the people that you find there. As beautiful and relaxing as smaller towns look and feel, the people living in these are not exactly the most pleasant and welcoming types. There are always exceptions to the rule, but it seems to be like that unfortunately.
I also read a lot of native english speaking expats feeling isolated in Germany even after living there and studying the language after 6 or 7 years. So it seems to me like it's a monumental amount of effort for diminishing returns trying to learn the language. Even for experienced people, the locals will always be able to notice that you have an accent and from then on you will be labeled as an "outsider", regardless of knowing the language less or more. If that makes sense. In that same time period you could learn a new programming language or focus on anything else. It's a complex issue.

Hi Guys, great work and great spirit. Your videos are helpful to so many folks around the world. I would highly encourage you to keep up this good work. It would be my privilege to infact join you guys someday as I plan to pursue MSc from DTU, Denmark in spring 2021. Having said that I have a suggestion, can you guys try to make an informative video on subject of "Health insurance in Denmark" to cover how health card works, cost, etc.

@@StudentSurvivalGuide Thank you for the courtesy, as said, like me, I believe there would be quite a few aspirants who would want to know cost & procedure related to health or medicines.

Would learning Danish language help me understand people from Sweden and Norway as well?
What is the most "standard" in terms of language, that applies to the 3 countries?
    (if there's such a thing)
