(I can attest to the value of taking Sabbath and focusing on Jesus because my wife is great at it, and she's awesome!) I loved your comment about "starting where you are, and not where you think you should be". It's so easy to either fail to begin the practice or give up because you aren't immediately where you want to be. Thanks for that encouraging word.

When one is open to the whisperings of God more of God's Will will be revealed as we obey. Time is short and man must chose whom he will obey. The wheat is being separated from the chafe. Praise God!
The Blessing of the Sabbath not only for the Jews but also for the Gentiles (Isaiah 56: 4-7) For thus says the LORD, “To the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant, To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, And a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off. “Also the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, To minister to Him, and to love the name of the LORD, To be His servants, every one who keeps from profaning the sabbath And holds fast My covenant; Even those I will bring to My holy mountain And make them joyful in My house of prayer.
You mention that you don't believe that keeping the Sabbath is required...the other 9 Commandments are "required", so surely keeping the Sabbath holy is also? Sent with Christian love :)
Sabbath is a Gift from God. Take your rest on the 7th Day (SATURDAY) spend the day in worship of the Lord and with family. Not a day if work. You can cut your lawn and wash your car on Sunday the 1st day if the week.
I'm sorry to say, you are practicing the non biblical Sabbath, Sunday is the 1st day of the week, not the 7th, which is Saturday. Sunday is the creation of Rome and they have already admitted it. They say that Sunday is the Mark of their ecclesiastical authority. If you want to follow God the Father, Jesus Christ our Saviour and High Priest, our only example, we have to keep Saturday (Friday at sunset to Saturday at sunset.) Read "Rome's Challenge" if you don't believe this.
Listen from the beginning, this pastor talks about the Saturday Sabbath, he may not understand it perfectly but the Holy Spirit will guide him, for him to dare to preach it to his congregation is a self-denial. The Holy Spirit will guide the sheep outside the fold. Amen.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Sabbath is a requirement. God says if you love me keep my commandments. The commandments were given to men to do to worship Him
